My family and I visited Nashville for the first time during Thanksgiving week. Leading up to the vacation, we did like (I presume) most people do prior to visiting a new area...research the area and create a list of things we wanted to accomplish. The Parthenon was a key structure that I had to visit and when I discovered that Taylor Swift's bench was nearby, I figured why not visit since we'll be in that area. I'm not what is classified as a glorified "Swiftie" or even a profound "Swiftie Dad" for that matter, but since I did get to attend one of her concerts during the Eras Tour (Las Vegas) with my daughter, I figured this would complete the package.
I was hesitant at first on even writing a review of this location since it's just a bench. It's almost like taking a picture of the asphalt and saying, "Oh boy look at what I took a picture of!" But given the reason behind this bench and how successful Tay Tay has become throughout the years, I figured why not. After all, she's one of, if not, the most successful female artists of all time. Who knows, maybe one day her personal life will be just as successful as her music career and she'll find that "one" that she'll spend the rest of her life with. Until then, I hope she continues to create good music regardless if it's based on her ex's or not...not only for herself but for all the Swifties out there.
The location of this bench was very quiet when I visited - no one was around so I could quietly take pictures without having to ravage through all the fans. When I arrived, there was one dude reading a book while sitting on the bench but he moved when I asked if I could snap some photos. I suspect people would enjoy coming here and soak in some quiet time or perhaps those talented musicians could sit here and connect with Tay Tay to get some ideas for their next piece.
Internally, I rated this a 4-star (liked it), but given the reason behind this bench and the effort the city placed in creating a specific bench dedicated to her, I'm publicly rating this a 5-star (loved it). This bench may not be for everyone - some folks might view it as "just a bench" or may not be a fan. But for all those fans out there, this is a definite stop that you must experience when visiting Nashville. I am recommending to whomever maintains this area to upgrade it with a cover over the bench and outdoor speakers that continuously...
Read moreWow, the Taylor Swift Bench in Nashville is a total vibe! It's like a love letter to Taylor, tucked away in the heart of Music City.
The bench itself is super cool, made from this really fine wood that's smooth and sturdy. You can tell it's been crafted with care. It's comfy too, perfect for chilling and soaking up the atmosphere.
The flowers around the bench are gorgeous, all colors and scents, making the whole place feel like a secret garden. And the view? Amazing!
But the best part is just how it feels to be there. It's like you're sharing a moment with Taylor herself, right where she might've sat, dreamed, and made music. It's a little bit of magic in the middle of the city.
So, if you're hitting up Nashville, you've gotta check out the Taylor Swift Bench. I'd come back in a heartbeat, just to sit and enjoy the vibe again. It's not just a bench, it's a...
Read moreThere was a lady in the beginning stages of setting up a gender reveal and we asked if we could quickly take a picture in front of the bench (as we were only there for one weekend and wouldn’t be coming back) and she refused to move her things and said we would have to have her mess in front of it if we wanted to take a picture. We asked her if she had rented the space and she said we were here first so we’re not moving anything. (She had like two boxes on the bench at that point, it would have take 10 seconds to move it) We’re big swifties and wanted 2 seconds to take a simple picture of us reading like Taylor Swift “used to read in centennial park” but now we’re just going to think about the rude lady who was gatekeeping the Taylor Swift bench. Very...
