A Wonderful Stay and Excellent Valet Service!
Mk MlMk Ml
EDIT: We originally had a great first impression of this hotel but it turned out to be a torture chamber in disguise. I tried contacting the hotel multiple times and have yet to get a response. I'm leaving the original review for transparency, but I would avoid this hotel as their staff is tone deaf and could not care less about guests' experiences and also their walls are PAPER thin, and attracts less than desirable crowds of guests. If anyone is curious about our terrible experience, It is posted on yelp. --‐----------------------------------------------- First time adding and being the first to review a business! Woot! We stumbled upon this hotel after staying at the Gaylord (great experience worth the price) and a rather disappointing stay at the J.W Marriott Downtown at triple the price. This brand new hotel (3 weeks old) is definitely a gem! Overall we were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities this Marriott location offers at a fraction of the price of the other hotels we have stayed in. The staff is limited, (we only encountered two employees at the time of our check-in, the front desk manager and the valet attendant) but sufficient and very friendly. Area: It seems to be located in an up and coming area. The view outside my window includes some beautiful modern homes on a small hill, a crossfit gym, a highly rated restaurant (Avo) with a beautiful patio, sand beach volleyball court (closed until April 2021), a vegan ice creamery (Koko's), and some very tasteful and well-executed Street art. Within walking distance next door (1 minute walk) you can find a coffee shop, Pastoria (highly-rated pasta and pizzeria). The options nearby are endless in this up and coming neighborhood! It is conveniently located near Music Row, downtown Nashville, Vanderbilt University, Ryman Auditorium, Broadway Street, Centennial Park, The Parthenon and many more Nashville hot spots Amenities: The hotel is equipped with eco-friendly amenities, fully-equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, dedicated workspaces and much more.. wifi is free for all guests. There is also coin-operated laundry for long term stay guests. Other perks- modest gym overlooking the hotel's saline infinity pool, free breakfast (grab bag during covid), complimentary evening reception (not offered during covid) and complimentary bike rental! Parking: "off-site" parking is free. Which is a HUGE BONUS! Usually in Nashville we elect for valet parking, because free parking in this city is rather scarse. The off-site parking is actually conveniently located on the street right in front of the hotel or across the street in the free parking lot. Valet parking is also available at an affordable $35 rate, which is a lower than the typical $45-$65 range in nearby hotels. Bath: The toiletries provided are on par or slightly better than other category 5 Marriott Hotels in the area. The bathroom is well-designed with a modern vanity, well-lit mirrors and shower, large-sized sink, and enclosed floor-to-ceiling glass shower. Room: The standard rooms consists of modern furniture and decor. The walls are adorned with tasteful and Nashville-themed artwork. The room is furnished with a modern desk, ergonomic chairs, chaise or pull out couches, comfy beds, and many more. The kitchenette includes a larger-sized mini fridge, small microwave, toaster oven, filtered water faucet, coffee maker complete with teas and coffees, coffee mugs, drinking glasses (eco friendly), kitchen towels etc. My favorite part about the room is the large-sized window! My absolute favorite thing about this hotel is the fact that not only are they pet-friendly, guests can have their (1) pet stay here for FREE! All the hotels I contacted in the area (with the exception of the A-loft) were either not pet-friendly, or charges $100-$150 non-refundable pet deposit!! I can probably go on and on about how pleasantly surprised we are by this location (in contrast with all other comparable hotels in the area), but you get the point.. definitely give this VERY reasonably priced hotel a try!

Honestly, I'm unsure of where to begin. We were excited to stay at this location because of the amnesties the website featured for the hotel. My husband is Marriot bonvoy platinum member which affords him early check in and late check out along with a welcome gift. We arrived an hour and a half before check in at 3pm. Upon arrival we went to the check in counter and immediately the front desk ignored us. We were traveling with my 8 month old daughter and there was absolutely no hospitality or greeting. We were told we had to wait for check in. we informed them that we were platinum members and they could care less. Fine we waited.. And waited...and waited. Meanwhile, surprise surprise, other people who came AFTER us who did not look like us, their room was miraculously ready. The lady at the front desk knew we have been waiting and still didn't let us know when the room was ready. My frustration grew and I went to the desk at 3pm Sharp. I said enough is enough, we need this room NOW My 8 month old and I and my husband have been waiting in the lobby for an hour and a half. Miraculously again the room was ready. Never did she tell us about the amenities of the hotel. We were treated like absolute SCUM. I've stayed in 5 star hotels and HOSTELS and the treatment here was POOR. When I asked if they had a restaurant she told me No! She never said the bar had finger foods nor did she suggest the restaurants literally near by walking distance outside the hotel. The room was OK. DEF NOT WORTH THE WAIT. They also never cleaned the room. When I asked the front desk to clean the room they said that I mentioned this "too late". Like what the heck are you talking about? If you had a no cleaning room policy you'd have mentioned at that CHECK IN but they were so busy being poor at their job, they mentioned nothing!!!!!. Other than the piss poor performance of the staff, the actual location of the hotel is fine. The gym is clean and is 24 hours . That's the only.plus. the pool is fine. Extremely tiny but fine. The bar is basic. The breakfast MID. Im not sure if this hotel pays their staff below minimum wage because they all had attitude problems. The guy doing the eggs at breakfast got mad when I asked if they do omelettes. Like guy relax. What's with the attitude. I just couldn't deal with this hotel and their staff. From the fact that they didn't clean the hotel, to the attitude at check in, attitude at breakfast. The only people who didn't have an attitude were the valet guys and we didn't even drive. Go figure. I'll be reporting them to Marriot bonvoy because this hotel is ruining their reputation. They deserve to be a 1 star hotel. Like I said if you don't care about hospitality then book this hotel and ignore the bad staff. The pool is fine and the gym is fine. Never will I recommend this place. The area however is nice Safe. Good nearby restaurants. Good coffee shops. Walking distance from the Parthenon. You get what you pay for.

First: Valet very dishonest staff, we arrived after a 10 hour drive at approximately 10:00 AM. We paid for valet (which we will never let Valet touch our vehicles again) also $35 for Valet is crazy expensive. The walking for free is parking is awful so we just bit it and paid. Valet took our vehicle and parked it we got our room which was ok, not impressed there were stains, the noise was way too loud, the temperature was too hot etc. anyways we get unpacked and call valet to bring our car back our front. Which they do, we visit the Andrew Jackson Mansion and we go to lock our vehicle and we realize our lock button was broken/damaged to the point where the button was unusable/destroyed which it was not like that when valet took it and parked our car. We reported it to someone higher up in valet because of course the manager is conveniently missing at this hotel for valet. We submitted the claim and a few days later got a email back saying it was denied due to “insufficient evidence”, you have surveillance cameras, as well as photo proof, and a witness. We tried to get a hold of PMC but to not avail no one will answer our calls for help/assistance. We are currently taking up with our insurance company to get this incompetent people to give us at least some kind of compensation insurance has the power to overturn the decision as stated in email. But we will never come back here.

The Staff: the staff in the actual hotel was not that bad. Front desk was ok when we checked in. Although when we got to the bar there was 3 different stories to either it was free/complimentary or costed money. Which it ended up actually costing us it was not at all complimentary like two staff members assured us it was. The breakfast wasn’t all that great either. Very very limited things to choose from basically only served eggs, toast, cereal, or muffins. Take your choice pretty much.

Room: the room we stayed in was on the 6th floor. The bed comforter had a stain in it as well as the thermostat was at 72 which was wayyyy too hot for a room to be. When we turned it down it really didn’t improve that much as well as the noise the AC made was very loud.

Overall: just avoid this hotel at any costs go somewhere else spend a little more bc this places ain’t it. Especially for tourists. Please stay clear of the valet very dishonest as well as the staff not getting stories straight and being able to actually help out is slim to none....
