Honestly the worst hospital i have ever been to. I went in with a high fever, excessive chills, terrible body aches, extreme sore throat and vomiting.. when i got there, my blood pressure was extremely low, the check in nurse was concerned and re-did it, twice, when i got back to the room, even after adjusting and fixing the cuff, my blood pressure was still low, it dropped down to 66/38- the machine was beeping non stop and not one nurse/ doctor came into the room until i pressed the nurse button on the remote. Then, they came in about 10/15 mins after, not worried. I had no barf bag, no garbage next to me, i was throwing up bile on the floor. Not to mention, the trauma room that they placed me in, had no restocked supplies in there, or a working otoscope. They didnât connect me to an IV, didnât draw any labs, or even want to test me for anything other than strep. Took longer than 30 mins to get tylenol and ibuprofen, and after my strep came back negative, (with out any further exam, didnât check my ears, no one would have checked my temp if i didnât ask the nurse in the room to because i was curious to see how high my fever was and it was 101°), the PA ruled it out as Viral and i got discharged shortly after. The PA told me i am small, and my blood pressure would be low, so i was okay to go home. I have never had low blood pressure like that before, ever, nor have i have felt that sick before. After i had gotten discharged, i rested for a couple of hours and woke up with extreme chills again, another high fever, could not keep any fluids down at all and almost fainted multiple times since getting back from Tri-Star. I ended up going to Vanderbilt where they did every single possible test, urine culture, blood cultures, x-rays, IVâs, zofran through the IV. Come to find out, i have tonsillitis, i was tachycardic, and it was not a âbad virusâ. Terrible, terrible, patient care at Tri-Star, would absolutely never go back nor recommend...
Read moreRegistration needs some serious training & COMMUNICATION with the Dr's offices!! I went Monday & they had the wrong wrong information for me & nobody told me i had to fast for this test. So they rescheduled for Wed. SO WEDNESDAY I SHOW UP 30 MINUTES EARLY fot them to say I was in the wrong building. Im supposed to be in "G " building to go to the "G" building....then they tell me to get on the "shuttle " , go outside valet tells me "I don't know why they are telling people that , they did not have shuttle anymore! So I had to grab my keys from valet & run to my truck find "g" building for them to tell me i was in the right building at the main tower building, then had to come right back to the correct building, the guy kept saying i was wrong....FINALLY a supervisor (im assuming) asked what was going on...she gets in the computer & found my account. 1. Guy was looking at wrong account 2. The system apparently had me in both places for some reason then to sit for over 45 minutes for them to figure my account out! It was absolutely frustrating & the staff outside the office needs manors & compassion for the patient! They were rude and didn't NOT care that THEY are making you run around like that! I was not the only person either, there was 2 other elderly women they had running around as well. I'm only 40 year's old & was so frustrated & then to see how they did the same to the elderly women made me very upset! And now I'm already frustrated because I've had nothing to eat or drink since midnight & and my appointment was @ 1:00 and ( showed up at 12:30) and didn't get done until 2:45! Monday went smoothly but Wed was a VERY FRUSTRATING experience with registration. The staff in imaging was nice & didn't have to wait long for ultrasound. But this place really needs some communication skills!!! I had multiple phone calls about this appointment with scheduling where there was no communication.. IDK it was just so...
Read moreEveryone is nice and the stress test techs were great. Eric at front desk was great when we checked in. There are some serious issues with one hand doesnât know what the other is doing . One woman called and said we would owe $2500 but if we wanted to pay all at once it would be discounted to $2000 or he could pay $600 a month. Lawd! My husbands knows nothing about insurance but I have done insurance referrals and verification with estimates for a very long time so I knew this was off. I called BCBS and she said this was not right to call them back with the percentages she gave me. I called 5 times and spoke with several different people no one could tell me anything. When we arrived we were told thatâs not up front but if insurance denies. Donât you know that will cause patients to cancel much needed appointments? Husband had nuclear stress test and was told he would know results that day. After the test the tech said oh the ball was dropped here the dr is performing procedures today so you will need to make an appointment. Go to make an appointment and the nice lady upfront said this is not how that works let me go ask. She comes back and said someone will call you. This was on a Friday. Now bare in mind my husband is not well. We are scared he is going to have a heart attack before we can get diagnosis and tx. Husband calls Monday Dr has the results but hasnât looked at them. Tuesday get a call about the results. He was told someone will call you for calcium score test. No call. He calls to schedule the appointment and was told you canât schedule but paperwork will be mailed to you. He was called today to schedule this appointment. There obviously is to many hands in the pot. It has been so confusing. I feel sorry for elderly people because their heads have to be swimming working with this institution. I just pray we get some answers before...
