Overall good experience, great staff, awesome trip. I've tubed a lot of rivers but the exit on the river for this one is treacherous! The river is flowing, everyone is trying to get off at a 30' exit, there is no "beach" or shallow area to wait for people to let you exit, you kinda have to push your way through a frenzy of people, our entire group of my nieces and sisters got separated and mixed up. My girlfriend saved 2 kids that were alone without parents and lost their tubes because of the frenzy. They were crying for help and no one could see them in the mess. I can't explain it but I will warn you WHEN YOU GET TO THE EXIT, PREPARE FOR A FRENZY, IF YOU GET SEPARATED IN THE MESS, THERE IS A ROPE ON THE WALL ((DOWN RIVER)) FROM THE EXIT, USE THAT TO PULL YOURSELVES UP RIVER TO THE EXIT...I do not recall Rockin R exit being that bad.
the boys who were attending your overflow lot on july-17 deserve a compliment. Especially the blonde boy who was backing traffic into their spots. They were working hard and they were stressed with the amount of cars they had to direct, they had some adults who were acting like children being dramatic and trying to get a free spot, poor kid was just trying to do his job and they were giving him a hard time. His line backed up because he had to stop directing people, and deal with the punks. Anyways he held it together and took care of everything. He was overwhelmed but doing an exceptional job. Got to appreciate a young man trying to earn a dollar. You guys have great staff including your...
Read moreAfter calling ahead to make sure we we're getting what we were looking for, we paid $34 for parking and a ride (10 for parking, 12 per person). We were bringing our own tubes and just wanted a place to park and a ride back from the exit. We were told they have close parking in a lot they lease and that they would fill our tubes up for us- they didn't. The boys in the back who do the tubes handed us the air pump and went back to playing on their phones and talking to each other. Not a big deal, but we were like "ok...".
At the end, the line was so long, we decided to walk the 5 blocks to the overflow lot because there was only one shuttle and everyone was literally fighting for a place on the van (YES VAN- not a bus). Pretty ridiculous considering there were 4 perfectly good school buses parked at the overflow lot (that is not "across the street" as we were told). If you're not able to walk a long ways (4 blocks) carrying all your belongings- this isn't the place for you. . . There is no ride from the overflow lot back to the main lot where you get a ride to the river- we were told someone should be there to direct us and there wasn't. On your own the whole way.
We want a refund. Not happy at all. It's a shame too, considering that there are many other quality toob places that will actually take care of their customers and not mislead them to think they're getting a good deal for what they're paying. Definitely will never...
Read more2nd time in two years my family and I have travelled to New Braunfels for our family vacation. Had a great experience last year with this company so I chose to use them again this year for our tube rentals. The lady at the counter who checked me in seemed bothered that I chose not to park my truck with them but rather down at the park closer to the river. Well she failed to give me wristbands for their shuttle service. I had 5 tubes that I rented for 3 kids and 2 adults. Since I was not parking my vehicle with them, I had to leave with them either my truck keys, my cell phone, or a $100 deposit. I chose to leave my phone. When we were done floating the river the 1st time, the shuttle guy came to scoop us up but he wouldn’t let me on because I didn’t have their red wristband. But I had 5 of his red tubes and they had my phone but he had to call the front desk to confirm that I rented with them and to make sure that they failed to give me a wristband- basically implying I was trying to catch a free ride- it got out of hand and another passenger took the shuttle guys lead and called me and my family freeloaders before he was able to confirm that they in fact made a mistake and failed to do their job correctly by providing me wristbands when I paid for the tubes. I will NEVER rent tubes from them ever again nor will I EVER...
