This is one of my favorite NYPL in the city. Even though it doesn’t carry the biggest selection of books and materials, it possesses a quiet study room one floor below, where there no activity whatsoever. Most libraries I’ve visited are quite silent, but there is always some kind of activity going on- people are walking by, picking up/returning books at the front desk, etc. This room is distant from all the activities mentioned above. I am glad I live close by and can visit often. *During the warmer months there is an outside garden area which is quiet and you can enjoy some fresh air.

Read moreIt’s a good quiet library. Lots of books for children and normally, pre covid, there were many programs available for everyone of every age. The library building itself is beautiful, clean but not stroller friendly. It does have a lift for wheelchairs but can only be used for such. As far as the staff, they can be helpful but before being able to explain yourself and your needs, you are met with a bothered attitude. Anyways, I believe this Library has potential but, not with some of the staff. When it comes to working at a library you have to be kind and have patience with people, especially kids.
