The Couple Spa — Local services in New York

I had great experience at this spa! My boyfriend and I purchased the 50 minute Couples Swedish Massage and it was just what we needed to start off our anniversary. The massage rooms are downstairs and once you check in, they bring you there and give you a moment to take off your clothes. The masseuse asked me if the pressure was too hard or soft so I appreciate the attentiveness.

Cleanliness is huge for me and the spa was very clean! Afterword one hour massage was over, we went back upstairs and were given some tea as a part of our package (we purchased it via Groupon).

I want to come back here and experience the Rose room at a different time, but now that I am familiar with this place I feel very happy and will be returning Customer.

Tips-- -Bathroom is on the first floor

-If you have trouble with stairs, not too sure if this place is for you unless the owner responds and says otherwise. I didn't see an alternate way to go down the stairs.

-I called to make a reservation and when I called they asked me if I purchased through Groupon yet, I had said no, and they said they would honor the Groupon price. That was cool with me, but when I went in with additional taxes and such it ended being more than Groupon's offer so I purchased with Groupon instead and canceled the appointment I made (this was weeks in advance so I didn't do any last minute changes, that would be unfair).

Why 4 Stars? -- I came across a tricky payment situation that I wasn't pleased with, but it wasn't the worst situation I've come across.

-There is a $10 sanitation fee and it is per person. This gets tricky because the website says $5 per person (I have the screenshot to prove it) but they still charged me $10 per person.

Ultimately I have MUCH better things to say than anything, but I am big on keeping it honest out here. Even if it's just $10, still worth keeping accountable. None of this is to discredit the massage therapist, they are wonderful and deserve the best.

Always tip on the original price of the service not the Groupon...

I don't know how to thank the people who work here. My wife and I purchased the "Royal Treatment" and it is 100% worth the price of admission. The massages done were exactly the way I want them. My massage therapist was very strong and getting into all of the tight areas of my back and legs; where I can honestly say my soul felt it.

Prior to going to the Lemon & Rose bath - they do a body scrub which honestly made my skin feel the smoothest it's ever been. The bath is incredible (hot, but enjoyable once you submerge yourself). My wife and I had some Rose' w/ fruit.

The absolute best part of this whole experience (why I wish I could give 10 stars) is that they helped me when my bp spiked. I struggle with BP issues and when it did "act up" - the staff were so attentive by providing cold water, giving me a spot to lie down, and also doing a head massage to ease the pressure build up.
