Read moreI was a partner of a student there when it was the Rockefeller Institute in the late 1980s early 1990s. I have not visited on recent trips to the US mainly probably because I was scared to cross the road although holidayng is also tiring. However, I did enjoy my time there, and remember the very good film club. I did visit once to try to find people to explain my belief that diseases are fake and that the microscope cannot achieve high magnification, as I have done in the nearby Silver Star. I was not a scientist (I'm a former A level politics teacher) but am now starting to enjoy the subject more and something I read yesterday seemed to be hinting that physics, the principles of which are the basis of explanations of microscopy, was unfalisifiable in a way that...
Read moreNot a student here but I had the amazing chance to stop by for a symposium that was hosted here. It was the first NYC RNA symposium so I was personally very excited. Obviously, I enjoyed the symposium itself but that’s not necessarily a holistic reflection of the university itself since it’s organized by the Tri-RNA club which includes other institutions.
All I can say is that I loved the view and atmosphere, and would definitely visit again if I had the chance. I don’t think I’d have access, but this is worth breaking the law (for legal reasons this is a joke).
My research PI had also spent some time here at Rockefeller at some point in his career, and he’s an awesome mentor, so I guess that can be attributed to the...
