I witnessed one break a wooden yardstick on a 5th grader’s hand. Me, the principal slapped me on the side of my right cheek with a metal ruler. Ok, so I got caught playing hooky, but that was uncalled for. I didn’t tell my mother until after she picked me up and we got home. She was incensed.
