CubeSmart Self Storage of Flushing — Attraction in New York

This is my first time renting with CubeSmart and I must say that my experience was extremely positive. Prior to entry (after reserving a locker), I received a call from a polite staff member (apologies as I had forgotten their name) explaining the process and details of the reservation. She was courteous throughout the entire conversation and provided all relevant information very well. In addition, she answered my questions quickly giving me the impression that she is knowledgeable and knows her position well.

Upon entry I met with staff and was guided by a member (apologies again as I forgot her name as well) and her trainee (Mr. Wilton(?)). Both were professional and courteous and provided a comfortable environment while introducing me to the locker load in process. Every instruction provided was clear and easily understood. All details and information regarding the locker, change policy, promotional policy, late fees, etc were explained so well that I did not have any additional questions as they were already answered. In addition, the transaction process (in-person) was easy and fast and I did not have to worry about online sign up as everything was handled efficiently.

Overall, I must thank the staff for their assistance and guidance. Most importantly their customer service and attitude was fantastic and spot on. Thanks to the staff that I met today, I would highly recommend my friends and family to rent at this specific location because of the staff. I was very comfortable throughout the walkthrough and if any trouble were to occur down the road I know the staff will provide assistance without any trouble.

I went into this facility to check it out because I was looking for a short term storage option (didn't need it in the end). Anyways, I called ahead of time and a perfectly polite person picked up. I asked if I could come stop by for a tour, she said "of course, just stop by anytime as long as we're open. If you decide to stop by today my name's Kendall and I'll be more than happy to help you". Since I had some free time I decided to stop by about an hr later. I walked in, said "hi I called earlier and spoke to Kendall, she said she could give me a tour?!". Immediately Kendall greeted me warmly and said she could help. She proceeded to give me a tour, I IMMEDIATELY realized the place was immaculate. Fair prices for various units. She gave me so much information that at the end of the tour I barely had any questions! She gave me her business card and told me to call the number on the card and ask for her if I were to ever come back. Although a couple weeks later I didn't need the storage unit, if I ever do need one I'll be sure to return because of Kendall. There is no question that Cube Smart is a necessary evil. Their business model it well thought out. Accessability is acceptable. Staffing is sporadic as the office is locked when they need to be inside the building.(this includes bathroom facilities) The real reason for the low rating is random price escalation. Fees go up continiously. The only way to curtail this (as the staff tells you freely) is to as soon as the rate goes up, close out the existing account and swap it out for an alternative storage unit. This means take all the stored possessions and relocate them to a new cubicle within the building and then you can maintain the initial price. I...
