To say PCA is the best Christian school there is in Queens and the beginning part of the South side of Long Island is an understatement. Hence the reason for my over 3hr commute since 2015 taking and bringing my kids to school and back home. Both of my children started since PK3 through 1st grade. And even though they were sooo little when they started (2. 1/2 yo) they both STILL remember all the beautiful things they learned with Mrs. Suquilanda and Mrs. Persaud, despite how young they were. Not one day goes by without them reminiscing on happy moments with their teachers, and on academic experiences at PCA. PCA became our 2nd home including our kids. The teachers’ love for the kids, the school, their jobs with the school, radiates towards their teaching and discipline approach, and any support they so willingly provide. You will feel them and they will treat you like FAMILY! It is with great sadness that we had to leave our school and teachers due to a new beginning in Florida. Nevertheless, PCA became our benchmark when searching for schools in Florida. And although my kids are now attending a much bigger private school with a lot more requirements, thanks to PCA my kids were very well prepared academically, socially, and spiritually. They both did very well in their entry assessment evaluation exam. In fact, while they were very young to be in their grades they were in at PCA, they remained in the same grade here in their new school. As a parent who takes education (even while in PK3) respect, discipline, and the love of God very seriously, PCA has been the biggest and best experience in my kids’ education journey. I take great pride in having been part of Promise Christian Academy-OUR 2nd home for 4 yrs! Ugh! How I miss everyone at PCA and everything about PCA!! One day in an effort to reduce my commute from Long Island (Lynbrook) to Queens, my husband and I looked for other options, and nothing we saw was even remotely close to the space, tuition, attitude, education, and VERY important, the welcoming of a prospective family. PCA’s approach in all that they do...
Read morePCA has been such a blessing! My daughter is currently a senior who started here in 5th grade in 2016. She's made true friends who share the same values and care for each other. The school offers a nurturing environment that makes students feel right at home. From the dedicated Mr. Kim, School Director, to Mrs. B, School Secretary (and Mama Hen), to all the teachers like Mrs. Park, Mrs. Sora, and of course Mr. Jae, who is the most passionate and dedicated teacher my child ever had, everyone at PCA makes this school a special place. Like any other kid, my daughter has gone through different stages. However, they have been understanding, supportive, and encouraging not only with her but also with me as a parent. We have worked as a team, and it has made all the difference. She is a great kid, and I’m confident she will do fine in the future thanks to the amazing people that have been part of her life. If you are looking for a school that will provide a good academic foundation, but most importantly, will care for your child and will teach her true Christian values, PCA is...
Read morePromise is a great school I was student here but I had left because of moving. But this is a great school before this school I went to this school I was in a bad school with very low curriculum then I came here and my grades were so much better. When I left I was in fifth grade I am now in sixth and I am an advanced student doing eighth grade work. The work here is challenging when you first come especially when you came or come from a not so good school but over time you'll get better the teachers here are so nice and kind some may come off scary or stern because they want you to feel intimidated but once you really get to know them they some of the...
