Read moreAs I was doing one of those long, marathon worthy walks across the city I stumbled upon this Yemeni cafe. I must say it's very fancy looking and zen like inside. With plenty of seats and calming vibes all throughout. I suppose they are quasi famous (?) for their coffee but I wasn't interested in trying it and opted for a dessert item instead. I decided to go with Dubai Tres Leches. I have finally dabbled in the Dubai trend I suppose, without actually jumping on an annoying Dubai chocolate wagon. So basically the Dubai thing means sprinkling onto or stuffing into whatever crushed or crumbled pistachios, just as adding feta to anything pretty much makes it instantly Greek. So I tried a few spoon (fork?) bites of the Dubai Tres Leches and it was pretty good. The rest I finished at home the next day. It's certainly not something I would eat on the regular as it's quite action packed, if not heavy, even though ironically it might come off as light. Also, one of the layers, mid to almost bottom, contained what tasted kind of raisiny, which I'm not a big fan of. But all in all, this dessert piece...
