The worse of the NYU labs. They lost my online registration!!! I had to fill it out once again. . I had a 4:30 appointment they took me back at 4:30. I waited in a gown in a cold room until 5 PM. I could hear all the young technicians (20s to 30) laughing and wandering around. Finally after that half an hour I found someone and asked what was happened they said we are just preparing the room. The room was ice cold as always I asked for a blanket. They strapped cameras on me before a blanket. I have had this mri before and never had additional cameras. They tied the cameras on the very spot that was swollen and jammed them down. I asked to have them moved. They kept hurting me with them. The headphones only worked on one side. Then there was obviously something wrong with the machine they never turned it on until I was lying there for at least 10 to 15 minutes. I have had many MRIS I know that the machine is supposed to go on immediately. How did I know how long it was because 4 songs played on the radio it may even have been 20 minutes. I came out 45 minutes after going in. Way too long for a simple MRI without contast. I have had this body part MRIed before and it takes from 20 to 25 minutes. The CD machine was broken and they could not give me a cd. DO NOT GO HERE. This is my third time here where things have gone really wrong. The other NYU MRI labs are normal and...
Read moreCame in for an MRI. Got there 15 min earlier than instructed, and still had to wait an extra 30min after my scheduled appointment time before anyone took me to the back. I had to ask if i was still being seen. Then, I was in another waiting room with no clothes on, freezing cold for 20 min. Most of the employees are talking on their phone on speaker, talking to each other and hanging out. Out of the 15 employees there, only 5 seemed to be doing anything. The rest are just chatting and doing nothing. But for some reason, they seem to always be running behind…. Employees walking around and nobody makes eye contact or says hello. Literally nobody even looked at me. Awful customer service experience. Then, in the MRI room the tech was twisting my injured arm recklessly to put it in the imaging position. Didn’t bother to ask me if I was comfortable or doing ok. After the imaging process is completed they tell you to just get dressed and leave.
As a hospital that prides itself on excellence in patient care, this place is an embarrassment.
There are other places in the NYULH to get radiology/medical imaging procedures. I do not advise...
Read moreBest experience i could ever hope for. I am claustrophobic and have been beyond anxious for 3 weeks before my appt. I was dreading this, but, I decided to go and see it through if I could The registration desk was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Within 15 min., I was taken to start the MRI process, I told them about my anxiety and claustrophobia and and and they were wonderful, reassurring, let me try it out, and were in contact with me throughout. They spent extra time helping me relax. The place was clean and bright and it was the largest MRI they had. I am thankful for a 45 min MRI experience that wasn't as I had feared. I l istened to music and did some breathing and medidation exercises. Then it was over. Great job NYU MRI team at 38th st...
