We went to this park several times while we were visiting Manhattan. Every time it was super crowded. However, the park is large enough to handle a fair number of kids. There is a section for smaller kids and a section for older kids. However, the section for older kids seems to range from 4-5 up to 15-16, which is a wide range. However, everyone we met was friendly and most of the parents were very attentive.

Im not sure what was there previously that the wiring was holding up. But whoever cut off the wiring left some VERY sharp ends; my son almost sliced his finger open when reaching up to climb on the boulders. Pretty negligent considering the space is designed entirely for little hands to grab on...
