JECT — Attraction in New York

The first time I went to Ject was for wrinkle reducers in January 2023 and I didn’t go back for the rest of the year because I thought it didn’t last that long but didn’t think much of it. I went back in January 2024 for the same service and had my follow up appointment on 1/18 and today is 3/9 (about 1.5 months) and my entire forehead and 11s can move. This is truly unacceptable for the price that I paid for this service. I am fully aware that everyone has different bodies and metabolizes things differently, however for the cost that I paid 1.5 months is absolutely ridiculous. The people who work there are amazing and extremely caring and friendly and the place itself is very clean (I went to Christopher Street location), however, I did not receive what I paid for and this is why I will not be going back. I really could not say anything negative at all about the team there, but I would never recommend Ject to anyone who is truly looking for a service that works, especially at this high of a price point. This is unfortunate as I have many friends who go else where in NYC and this service lasts several months for them and I just blew away a lot of money for something that hasnt even lasted me 1.5 months. My guess to why this happened is that they are using a different “Botox” material, however I did not pay for off-brand and now I am dealing with the consequences. I debated for a really long time whether to post this review or not, but I figured it was worth to share my not so great experience at this place. TLDR; I still gave a scar the NP left, bumps in my upper lip, and my bottom lip is SO crooked.

I hope I was just a one off experience because I don’t understand how they have so many perfect reviews.

I went to JECT to get my first ever filled experience and I really regret not going somewhere else.

Pros: Location is beautiful, booking is easy, and prices are standard for NYC.

Cons: Extremely painful (I pride myself from having a really high pain threshold and this experience was miserable; during and post treatment). It has been a month and I still have the scar/dot from where the NP “injected too high up in the wrong area.” See photos attached. I talked to a dermatologist and I am now having to use prescribed medication to address the red marks left.

During the procedure my lips began swelling a lot, they said it wasn’t as common and because of it they couldn’t really be as precise with the symmetry because they couldn’t differentiate from the areas inflamed and injected. So told me to come back later to adjust.

I was never really informed of how much they were injecting and it felt like she kept trying to up sell me once I checked out and had realized the amount was double than I had communicated to her I wanted.
