Trains in New York are a lot more dependable then buses. For that, I give five stars. Nevertheless, a tourist should be kept wary as there is always a chance for things to change. There are millions of people in New York City, so it is quite understandable. From delays in signals (green for go, red for stop), to normalized ruckus that can never get old, the trains are something that could be an adventure, in it of itself. Don't forget your sanitizer after holding onto a train station pole, you never know who (or what!) Could have touched it. Who knows, there's a chance you could see a celebrity too! It is best to keep an open mind and a shut mouth here in the city, if you're not looking to draw attention to yourself. Also while just being on certain platforms, the aromatics in the air may be too intoxicating for the...

Always something with MTA service but I guess that is part of public transportation. I just wish ppl understand that a seat is not an entitlement, you pay for a ride! Stop squeezing in between ppl making everyone uncomfortable so you can sit on the edge. We are all tired and want to sit, but want to sit comfortably so wait for an empty seat so you too can sit comfortably. Also move in the cart when entering the train, stop standing blocking the door this delays service. Last but not least, keep your cell phone away for ppls face when their sitting and your standing in front of them, like really that's so disrespectful. No different than putting your hands in someone else's face. No reason to,...

MTA: The Lost city of the Homeless and mentally ill. Pay for the experience of a lifetime. See the wonderful artwork in every station, in its currently unmaintained condition. Feel melancholy as you imagine each station how it must have looked in its prime, and knowing that it could still be, if the management wasn't too greedy pocketing all the fares. Feel the adrenaline rush as the train barrels into the station, knowing that at any moment, one of the stations tenants may push you into the tracks.

Feel defeated like the rest of NYC as you give in to the fact that we have no choice but to pay, just for the honor of riding in a century old death trap that's...

Horrible conditions in the subway. Trains are filled with homeless men and women sleeping everywhere, even on the platform, as you can see. Some trains are so full with them there isn't any room to sit. If you can even beat the smell
