Trains in New York are a lot more dependable then buses. For that, I give five stars. Nevertheless, a tourist should be kept wary as there is always a chance for things to change. There are millions of people in New York City, so it is quite understandable. From delays in signals (green for go, red for stop), to normalized ruckus that can never get old, the trains are something that could be an adventure, in it of itself. Don't forget your sanitizer after holding onto a train station pole, you never know who (or what!) Could have touched it. Who knows, there's a chance you could see a celebrity too! Feel melancholy as you imagine each station how it must have looked in its prime, and knowing that it could still be, if the management wasn't too greedy pocketing all the fares. Feel the adrenaline rush as the train barrels into the station, knowing that at any moment, one of the stations tenants may push you into the tracks.
Feel defeated like the rest of NYC as you give in to the fact that we have no choice but to pay, just for the honor of riding in a century old death trap that's...
