Kailash Parbat, a Bombay-based chain, serves authentic Indian food in the famed Curry hill, NY.

If you're from India, this place is like a tradition to get your flavor fix and if otherwise, give your regular Tikka masala-naan takeout spot a break and head over to KP to feast your senses.

Every single item on their menu is exactly how you'd get in India, with most being delicious! (except Dal Pakwaan - bland & disappointing.)

Start off with Appetizers. A Chaat item (Dahi Puri- refreshing flavor explosive treats that wet your appetite for your anticipated main course, a must!) and Vada Pav (a simple spicy Indian slider/burger). They charge $11 for Vada Pav & it costs less than $1 in India. (Clearly people still pay for it & it's not bad)

For main course, elevate your Tikka masala experience by ordering a different gravy. I tried the Paneer Lazeez - fried soft cottage cheese cubes served in a smoky brown cashew gravy. You could also try their yummy, spicy chhole bhature!

Move over naan. Instead get those stuffed paranthas or kulchas that taste similar to naan, but is a meal on itself!

A cool, sweet, tangy mango lassi, made with pulpy Indian mangoes balances all this beautifully.

"Wow, what a perfect day! 🙌 After a long time, we finally got to spend quality time with family, and it was made even more special by the amazing experience at Kailash Parbat Indian Restaurant! 🍴

Located at 28th Street to 34th Street and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan, New York City, this hidden gem is a must-visit! 🗽️ We were lucky enough to find easy street parking along Lexington Avenue, and to our surprise, the meter was off after 7 pm! 🙏

As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a warm smile by the order taker and server, who were extremely helpful and attentive throughout our dinner. 🤩 The food was simply delicious! 🤤 We savored every bite, and the flavors were incredible.

Although the restaurant was pretty full, with a waiting list, we were fortunate that one of our family members had reserved a table. 🙏 It was a wonderful evening, and we left feeling grateful and content.
