I attended a wedding ceremony today at this gazebo type structure at Central Park. It was originally built as a shelter at the time the park was designed as a refuge from the city. Now it is used for recreational purposes. It located on the top of a rocky hill over looking the park and provide a magnificent view of the cityscapes and the park landscapes. I saw some small metal plates on parts of the benches and rustic wood that the structure is made of in memory of some individuals.
I really enjoyed the view of the shelter, and it was a beautiful place to hold the ceremony in because it provided magnificent backdrop of the city and park to all the wedding pictures.
