TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I saw Dr. Kotlus in Dec. 2019 for under eye filler I was very disappointed with the way he treated me! I was early for my appt. on Dec. 27th and he was late, he then scolded me for being early and basically told me i should not have been on his schedule also that he had family affairs to attend too. It made me feel awful about my experience! Why write a review now someone might ask and i will say I developed a complication from the filler not 100% sure if its his fault but from the looks of it, it seems poorly placed!! My opinion is he rushed me in and out of his office so he could attend to other more important things.. I drove 6 1/2 hours to see him in his practice for under eye filler because of all of his reviews and research about fillers. I probably could have gone in an alley somewhere and had a better experience. Do your research people because 149 people gave him 5 stars just imagine the people that did not speak up about their experience. UPDATE!! I was seen by a surgeon and he told me that the lump i developed could've of been from a dirty needle or bacteria from the needle . Also I see that Dr. Kotlus responded to my review. He also responded to me by email and once he realized i put a negative review about his practice he changed his tune with me. At the end of the day he was in a rush. Did not take the appropriate time with me because I should never have been on his schedule that's the words out of his mouth not mine. So therefore I have a lump under my eye that has slowly been going down but causes a great deal of swelling. Shame on you Dr. Kotlus!! The least you could've done in your response was say you were sorry for being in a rush and scolding me for being late to your practice after a six hour drive!!! Maybe going forward you can be a better Dr. and care for your patients not treat them like they are taking...

I just want to say that Dr. Kotlus is a true artist when it comes to the eyes . I feel so much like myself and my eyes are back . I can’t explain in words that Dr.Kotlus has literally given my best feature back to me. It literally seems that by face has been sculpted by Michelangelo . I waited and researched so much to fix my eye bags . Although they weren’t that prominent but they always bothered me. Almost three years of trying to fix my bags non surgically and numerous failed attempts , I finally found the right person to fix them . My decision to fly to New York from India for this and getting my eyes bags corrected by Dr.Kotlus has been the best decision of my life . I still remember getting a date in December when I randomly called even though my consult was actually in March and I was so happy and elated. My healing has been pretty smooth and painless. One thing about Dr. Kotlus is that he is extremely conservative and my eyes exactly look the same minus the eye bags. Thankyou for taking so much care and also the entire team , Marissa and Stephanie. Special thanks to Marissa because she made me feel so much at ease and answered all my questions . She is a complete sweetheart. Although I’m still in the healing stages I know it will come out beautiful once the swelling subsides , exactly the way I wanted them to be and I can’t wait for the final results . I can now focus on everything else that I couldn’t because the only thing that was a priority was fixing these and look like myself when I look in the mirror . I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Kotlus and the entire team. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart. May god always bless you.

Dr. Kotlus is... oh my god I can't believe I'm saying this publicly... a miracle worker.

After 5 hard years of lots of hard things happening in succession in life (divorce, moving across the country, job changes, losing both parents, losing my cat, and just covid-life in general) as well as genetic predisposition.... I had some seriously heavy bags under my eyes that would NEVER go away - no matter how rested I was, happy I felt, or how much concealer I slapped on. Didn't matter what I did, I looked sad and tired.

Some of my friends have addressed the sad/forever tired look with fillers (which you have to get yearly) and another had a lower blepharoplasty (which seemed like a big deal, but OMG the results were incredible) that she swore by... I was open to either and wanted to understand which option might work for me, so I did some research on NYC Dr's who specialize in revitalizing eyes and found Dr. Kotlus.

We discussed options and determined a lower blepharoplasty would be a solid long term solution for me. He didn't push any given solution, he just talked through my face structure, options, solution longevity, and outcomes... I decided on a one-time lower blepharoplasty v. getting annual fillers - we did the procedure in mid-February and I am so SO happy.

This sounds so vain (I mean come on it IS a vanity procedure, so here we are), but I feel so much better and more like myself - it's a relief to see a happier face with refreshed eyes looking back at me.

If you're considering getting some support for your eyes through a procedure - I can't recommend Dr. Kotlus enough. He's fabulous. Good luck in finding what...
