I have been renting space from Green Desk continuously since 2014. I cant imagine moving to any other building. Ill start with my building manager Justine. She is absolutely fantastic and really cares about the tenants. It is a pleasure walking into the building when you know the building manager cares. The company really seems to try hard to accomodate their tenants. They have helped me with everything from temperature control to tech issues. Over the years, their corporate office has helped me troubleshoot some issues as well. They are very ego free in that way. Their dumbo buildings are all very clean, comfortable and impressive to clients. Ive seen all of their buildings and they are all great. Read moreOkay, I'm sympathetic. I'm not a big deal, I don't pay them all that much money, and they don't have many stable tenants. They need revenues if they intend to remain a going concern. So it is with SYMPATHY that I warn you: The post-pandemic transition makes tenancy here increasingly untenable. They rent out the event space on the ground floor (they'll play loud music for parties) (honestly not sure how that's covid-legal these days anyway) and they rented out the glass-walled office next to me for a photoshoot so I got a blinding flash blinking in my eyes while I'm over here trying to get exotic distributed filesystems to work with the supercomputers used for people fighting COVID and the like. Blink! Blink! Blink! Management helpfully informs me there's "nothing we can do about it." Oof.
Besides that, good people, adequate building, nice Dumbo location — you might worry about noise from the train on the bridge, but it's not actually a problem at all...
