Delicious food but the customer service here is terrible. I had a loyalty card that broke, my mistake, and tried to claim my free bowl. The tall woman working with dark hair today at 7:40pm told me no, which was fine, and then proceeded to call me a liar, a cheat, and say I was lucky she didn’t call the cops because it was illegal even though I accepted that I couldn’t claim the bowl today. I’d understand if maybe I had been combative, but she was insanely rude and throwing around calling the cops because of a punch loyalty card seemed absolutely unnecessary. Good food but I’ll never patronize again.
Edit: You have no evidence in the CCTV? Not of me standing at the cash register as your worker is berating me even though I accepted the decision and was in the process of paying? Or of her continuing to call me a liar and a cheat after I repeatedly said that I understood the policy? No offense but I find that hard to believe considering I was standing there for about 5 minutes. Could tell you exactly what I was wearing, what she was wearing, who the other people were in the store, and the timeline of the events as well as any other details you might need but I appreciate you trying to call me a...
Read moreOne of the better poke spots around or below 14th St. They’re pretty decent with portions on orders (don’t mind the over-entitled low reviewers here, they add enough protein for the dish considering the other add-ons & will gladly give a bit xtra if asked when ordering in-person), have a pretty talented sushi chef there preparing, and have a loyalty reward program that offers a free 2-protein bowl after 9 orders w/their punch-card. ONLY THING I’d suggest is making sure they pack your order correctly, as they forgot to include an order of sashimi in the bag on on one pickup so check before you leave if there in-person. They offered to compensate for the error w/a free sashimi order PLUS the forgotten one when I called them, so let’s see if they honor that on my next visit. Otherwise not a bad place… UPDATE Stopped by here on the way home from a shopping run to pick up that sashimi order which was honored as promised - thanks...
Read moreNice to see something different in the sea of bars. Cute little spot in the east village filled with a very bubbly staff. It is a small place but vefy modern. To grab some food and go or have a quick bite at the wall table, it's a new alternative for something healthy.
If you have never had poke before think deconstructed sushi. I had the tuna and salmon poke with brown rice, veggies and spicy mayo. The fish was fresh, the food was prepared quickly and I was out the door.
They also serve a large variety of drinks from bubble tea, sweet tea, slushy and sparkling drinks. I had the lemon ice tea with lychee jelly. It's a little too sweet for my taste but with the variety they serve I'm sure there is a flavor for...
