This place has gone down hill. I’ve been coming here for over ten years. Came with a party of 10 with reservations. We were seated 30 minutes after the reservation. Ordered five hookahs. The flavor that I always smoke and recommended to everyone was out. Then Four out of the five hookahs weren’t the right flavors and one that was tasted horrible. This crowd smokes daily. We sent 3 of the hookahs back. By the time the new ones came it was another 45 minutes. At this point people have been here for an hour and a half without smoking. Then we sat for about 30-40 minutes because the new hookahs that came out were terrible. I don’t think they clean the hookah or they are recycling the fruit heads. I don’t think this location can accommodate a large group. I’m writing this review but If my whole table were to write reviews then every single one of us would give this place a 1 star. It’s better in the day time but will never go here again with a group. I felt embarrassed recommending this place and had people call me to tell me how terrible their experience and hookah was here. Read moreWe knew the food was going to be great when they brought super fresh, warm pita bread ❤️ The attention from seating to serving was seamless, very welcoming, helpful with our beer/wine selections and they brought our table side dog a little bowl of water. We’ve always talked about trying our neighborhood restaurants and Horus was such a great place to start! Tuesday night and very positive vibes from the music softly playing while solo diners and groups enjoyed a perfect evening on Avenue A. Hookah definitely seems to be their draw and while we don’t, we observed they take the highest level of sanitation and have a high level of service and attention in getting you set up for your relaxing experience. If you do enjoy hookah, stay and have a Casa Beer and some good food too! We really enjoyed our Egyptian sausage and lentil soup with the excellently fresh pita 🫓:) 🏡 Atmosphere: Inviting, welcoming, respectful and relaxing 🍲 Food: Egyptian sausage wrap and lentil soup with pita bread. 🥤 Drinks: Casa Beer...
Read moreI recently visited Horus Café on Avenue A for an early afternoon meal, and once again, it did not disappoint. Whether you're looking for a brunch spot or a place to have a relaxed lunch, Horus Café consistently delivers delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere.
I decided to try both the French toast and the egg Florentine this time, and both dishes were absolutely scrumptious. The French toast was perfectly fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the egg Florentine was rich and flavorful, with perfectly poached eggs. It's hard to choose a favorite because both were so satisfying.
One of the things I love most about Horus Café is that it's the perfect hangout spot, whether it's day or night. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it an excellent place to unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a meal alone.
Overall, Horus Café never fails me. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by to experience their delightful menu and warm atmosphere for yourself. It's a gem...
