GameStop — Attraction in Newnan

I called this store yesterday, September 23rd, 2016, because Forza Horizon 3 came out and I didn't get the chance to pre-order it. I was told that they had one extra copy, only store near me with an extra copy, so I asked them to hold it for me and they said they would hold it for two hours. No problem, I live an hour away so I could easily make that. So I get in my car and drive an hour, 35 miles, to this store to get the game I was TOLD was being held for ME. So I get there and tell the guy I was there to pick up the game. The girl, who I spoke with on the phone, told him I was here to get the extra copy. He then tells her that it was already being held for someone else (he called them by their first name). Keep in mind, they were holding it for me for 2 hours, 12:15pm-2:15pm. I was there at 2:05pm. This guy apparently was more important than I was because he didn't pre-order it but had it held for DAYS. What it seemed like was this guy was holding it for a friend and wouldn't give it to me. So I drove 70 miles for NOTHING. Sat in 2 hours of traffic for NOTHING. Wasted 3 gallons of gas for NOTHING! I don't blame the girl I spoke to at all. I was told by my local Gamestop to call these people because the system showed they had an extra copy. When I called the store she told me the same thing, that the system showed they had one extra copy. She was confused when the guy said it was unavailable. I felt extremely disrespected. All I got was a "Sorry." Because apparently the guy who's been holding it for days, not in the system, is more important. This whole ordeal felt super shady and these people will never be getting my business ever again. I ordered the game off of amazon for $85 versus the $100 without tax at the store anyways. Horrible experience for first time being here. Manager seems to be real cocky and rude lacks people’s skills. I had asked if they do price match he said yes store only. I wanted to get two boxes of Pokémon go but only if they would price match what they had online, he check and then said why would I price match it when the store is the same as the website. I mentioned that another store at a different location had the sticker price at a different price therefore that’s why I asked if he priced matched. He then proceeded to call me lier I don’t have a need to lie but he continued to talk back and prove me wrong when I had left the conversation trying to walk away. Wanted to buy some Pokémon cards for my son but after that altercation it left a horrible taste in my mouth. The store is very clean and amazing atmosphere but that whole lack of communication coming from a manager and he telling me he knows I’m lying because he’s trained every single region and blah blah blah just left a...

This place turned me off from Gamestop's all together. From now on I will only go to small business gaming stores ,or ebay/amazon. Wanted to buy 2 games today went in there was a guy "working" there really he was just standing there talking to one of his friends the entire time I was in there. There was also a woman working she was talking to a customer on the phone,with one hand, and playing with a phone in the other. I Stood there mind you I'm the only customer in the store, for at least 10 mins. with the games in my hand . After the 10 mins. I just walked back over to the shelf put the games back ,and left. They don't care at all about customer service here ,because they know there is only gamestop in town to buy. Well the 2 games I wanted to buy I've found on amazon for well under half the price they have at gamestop. So before you waste your time going into this crap hole. Check the price on amazon you will save a crap load of cash,and you wont have to deal with the jackasses...
