I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the customer service I received at the Louis Vuitton store in Old Orchard Skokie, IL.
my wife and I went to the store to purchase a purse for her. She had just lost her mother, and I wanted to do something nice for her to help her feel better. We were approached by a salesperson who showed my wife a purse that she liked. However, she was hesitant to buy it because of the price. I told her to get it because I wanted to buy it as a gift for her.
The salesperson was very persuasive. He appealed to our emotional side by telling us how he understood what we were going through. He also told us that we could return the bag within 30 days if we changed our minds. We were feeling vulnerable, and we were easily persuaded. We bought the bag.
I went to the store to return the bag. I told the salesperson that my wife had changed her mind. He refused to give me a refund. He said that because we had carried the bag out of the store, it was no longer in resalable condition. I told him that we had not worn the bag, and that it was in perfect condition. He refused to listen.
I asked to speak to the store manager. The salesperson refused to call her. I insisted, and he finally called her over. The store manager was very rude. She refused to give me her name or the name of the salesperson. She told me that the policy was that once a bag is carried out of the store, it cannot be returned. I told her that I had been lied to by the salesperson, and that I wanted to speak to his supervisor. She refused to tell me his supervisor's name or when he would be in.
I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at Louis Vuitton Old Orchard Skokie, IL. I feel that I was lied to and taken advantage of. I am requesting a full refund for the purse. I am also requesting that the salesperson and store manager be disciplined for their...
Read moreI went to the LV in Old Orchard Mall with a family member just to look around. I decided to smell some perfume and one of the coworker at LV store the short Asian lady she was nice I was asking her questions about what smells what kind of perfume she likes and she told me about the smell of each perfume. My little cousin and I notice that she was following us through the store acting like we were about to steal something so I asked her a question about the duffle bags and how much it cost and she told me the price. I went to the men side to smell the cologne (which was on the other side store) and I asked her question about the smell and she was answering my questions. At that point I was feeling uncomfortable and wanted to see more of the store I never been followed before at the store and remind you she was the only employee following us and they were more customers at the store shopping and looking around and nobody was being followed them. I understand LV is luxury store and that lady really took the joy experience walking into LV store. I really hope one of the Manger at LV store read this review and retrained that employee about racial profiling customers that walk...
Read moreThankfully, my experience at the Old Orchard Louis Vuitton store completely changed my mood and outlook. As soon as I walked in, I explained that I was there for an exchange and showed the condition of the glasses. The sales associate — I believe her name was Venessa (apologies if I have the spelling wrong or name wrong) — immediately understood my situation. She checked my purchase history in a professional and respectful manner, and processed the exchange quickly without any unnecessary questions or judgment.
She was kind, empathetic, and truly made me feel like a valued customer. After handling the exchange, she even took the time to show me around the store, and we tried a few perfumes together, which smelled amazing. Before I left, she kindly gave me a few perfume samples as a thoughtful gesture and sincerely apologized for the poor experience I had at the other store.
As we were leaving, I told my brother that I had been this close to never shopping at Louis Vuitton again. He said, "Sis, it’s the people who make the difference." And he was...
