PomPom Bubble Tea — Restaurant in Niles Township

I walked in craving some boba and a bubble waffle. The woman in the front was nice and offered me 2 samples as I was unsure of which to go with. I honestly didn’t care for either flavor but I felt bad to say no after she was nice enough to provide a sample. During this time, I had already mentioned that I wanted a bubble waffle so she had already put the batter into the waffle maker. About 5-6 min pass and the waffle is still in the machine while she’s helping 3 other guests. She then remembers the waffle and quickly dashes to it and puts a BURNED waffle into a cup and hand it to me. It was dry, dark and burned. 3 things a waffle should not be. So I tell her that and she says “it’s fine.” She asks if I would like another to which I politely say yes and then begins to mutter something in her native language under her breath. I visited PomPom bubble tea and got the mango matcha latte and I was disappointed. I could not finish the drink because of the taste and the craft + the taste of the drink does not justify the high cost.

Reiterating from another reviewer’s point about the taste being “watered down,” I have also experienced the taste of the drink as being “watered down.” Maybe it was just bland and not watered down but nevertheless, the only sweet part was the mango at the bottom which was barely sweet enough to counteract the blandness of the drink.

Awesome things happen if you pay attention. I came here for a shake, which was absolutely incredible, but the luck of the draw was the insatiable spam Musubi that they offer. I have been back here for 2 days straight and I can't stop eating the spam and Musubi. It's utterly fantastic, I have eaten spam and Musubi at so many places but this restaurant tops all I've ever had.
