Emerald Square Mall — Attraction in North Attleborough

Unacceptable Behavior; Verbally Abusive employee at an Easter Bunny Photo Event March 2024

As a parent attending an Easter Bunny photo event with my children, I anticipated a festive atmosphere filled with joy and excitement. However, my experience was tainted by the disturbing behavior of an employee of VIPHOLIDAYPHOTOS, whos was working the Easter bunny photo shoot, which I feel forced to post publicly.

During the event, I observed an employee displaying highly disturbing behavior. Not only did they become verbally abusive towards many customers, but they also resorted to vulgar expressions, all of which occurred in the presence of children.!!!!! This behavior was inappropriate and unacceptable in any setting, let alone one geared towards families and young ones celebrating a holiday.

The employee's behavior made me leave the facility immediately with the potentially harmful environment for attendees, particularly children who were exposed to such language and behavior. As a parent, witnessing this was disgusting & disappointing. I will NOT be attending any of these events at Emerald mall ever again ESPECIALLY if they continue to use this company (vip holiday photos) for their holiday photo shoots - disturbing, dangerous and really inappropriate. The only reason I go to this mall is for H & M at this point, and maybe the Shoe Dept. Emerald is also very convenient in location and parking. But really lately it is looking pretty bad. Escalators or elevators have been down. One of the elevators smelled so horrible like burnt plastic. Another time an escalator was screeching constantly. There have been more store closures and some of the stores, there are no customers in them. How are the existing stores staying open? Macy's is obnoxiously over priced with sales people ready to pounce. How are they still around. Today was July 4th and the pizza vendor in the food court was closed - there were 2 pizzas sitting there out in the open left behind on the counter. That is a health hazard. Also it was 90 degrees outside and sunny and I would have thought the mall would be cool. No, when I got to the third floor it was so hot, probably 80 degrees and stuffy. I don't know if it is because heat rises and there are huge sky lights, but I felt terrible for all the food workers who are probly even hotter behind the grills. What are security up to? Constantly chatting with workers. This mall is a dinosaur. The people in charge seem to have given up and are not caring that this place is...

I'm not a mall person but I had a good time. It was busy but not panic attack crowded. Lots of good stores including Sears and FYE I thought both were extinct..I visited many stores some I've never heard of but I enjoyed browsing the unique inventory. I bought stuff at Lids Spencer gifts and Work N' Gear. I will definitely visit again. Next time I will try the food court. Also noticed many places to sit and rest and charging stations for phones and some massaging chairs. Also interested in a store called mystery room, going to have to give it a try. 4 stars for now until I try the food court then the rank may go up or down.

I visited again and some stores were too hot to shop. I was told by multiple people that the air conditioning is broken and the mall won't fix it, the same for lighting and plumbing. Many stores have closed or left the mall and I understand why. The mall is losing stores and refuses to support the remaining stores. Great business plan. Will probably close soon. What a let down. A once great place run in to the ground by poor management.
