Don’t trust their jewelry counter to resize anything more complicated than a Timex watch! I bought a new Citizen watch and the woman at the counter offered to resize it for free, which I accepted. A huge mistake. I knew something was wrong when she called two additional people over to help. I took the watch and went downstairs to Zales and Elie Jewelers to have them look at it. The woman at the counter completely ruined two links because she didn’t have the right tools and tried to force the pins, and of course they snapped. I went back to the counter to try and get some kind of reimbursement to get it fixed. Imagine my surprise when I was given the runaround and lied to my face by the woman at the counter who said she didn’t ruin anything, when the pins were visibly dented by her trying to brute force it! She also tried to tell me that the jewelers somehow touched the watch and ruined the links. The jewelers at Jared told me that they didn’t have the tools because Citizen links are complicated, and the jeweler at Elie Jewelry told me to go back to JC Penny to get a reimbursement because they routinely try to give customers the runaround. The assistant store manager was very accommodating and a brand new watch is being sent to my house, but the whole experience was unpleasant and I had to continually argue with the woman at the counter to get the damage she did resolved. Her attitude was what really made everything unpleasant; I would have been happy if she simply owned up to her mistake or told me from the beginning that she couldn’t resize it. If you’re looking for a watch or friendly counter service,...
Read moreTook my grandson for Christmas pics. He’s 18 months old for reference. The photographer was completely untrained. It was up to me to change out props and redirect my grandson. She just kept thrusting her camera and yelling peek a boo never moving from her kneeling position. He ended up confused and overstimulated. I asked for a background change and she literally groaned at me. I asked the “manager” to intercede and was told she had another client and she would “try again” after if I waited till “her” clients were done. I let the lady edit her terrible photos, she took over 40 minutes editing 9 minutes of actual photography. I purchased the digital images, hoping I was just dissatisfied with the experience and I would find something I could use as the gift I intended, that wasn’t the case. I reached out to customer service and was told they would call me back because the refund amount was over $100. I never asked for a refund. I wanted pictures of my baby They never reached back out to me and I wasted a lot of money for pictures of a perturbed baby I can’t use. I am his Grandma. He is my 1st. I would have purchased anything and everything. He did not smile once. All of the pictures are terrible and editing them to a different color tone won’t change that.. Also I booked an appt Because of an email they sent me. Surprise! They refused to honor their own coupon. Overall terrible experience. This was in the beginning of November, it’s now December 22. So when they respond with reach out to customer service understand it’s just to save face. They have no interest in...
Read moreI’m in this Sephora all the time - of course, any Sephora located inside a JCPenney doesn’t have the whole extensive range of makeup, skincare, and haircare collections - but this Sephora, being as small as it is, holds a decent amount of products. I feel like if you don’t take the time to really look at what they have, you’ll think there really isn’t much, but take the time to look and I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for! And speaking of time, traveling down to Providence Place Mall isn’t really THAT inconvenient (it is right off the highway, during the day there’s no traffic so you are in and out, parking is free for the first 2 hours, and it’s a massive store so they have everything and anything you’d be looking for), but as a mother, trying to find a day where you even have a sliver of time to actually get down there is hard haha. All the employees at this Sephora, from my experience, really want to help you find what you’re looking for, they are ALL knowledgeable and if one doesn’t know much about a product you may be interested in, they for sure will find another employee who does know about it and that will take the time to speak with/help you. I’m in there all the time and even if some don’t know my name, they sure recognize my face and just with anywhere else, also speaking for myself, a smile spreads. I get a big “HELLO! How are you?!” as well as a smile and it makes me smile and makes my day (I also and skincare and beauty obsessed, so that also may help with the smile haha)....
