Taco Bell — Restaurant in Union City

I used to like Taco Bell back in the days. I stopped frequenting this restaurant because of the bad service provided at many locations. Locally, this franchise has employed some really rude and lazy people. A good example is the location near 31st Street Kennedy BLVD in North Bergen, NJ. About two years ago I stood in front of the register waiting for the cashier to take my order, or rather, waiting for the cashier to stop chatting with another employee. She would turn to acknowledge me but before I could say anything she would turn back and continue her conversation. Just as I would ask, "Excuse me?" "I would like to order." She would look at me upset that i had just interrupted her conversation. She then turned only halfway and ask what I wanted to order. As I was giving her my order, her co-worker walked over to show her some pictures on her phone. Again I had to wait for my order to be taken because the conversation began again. I got noticeably upset and demanded for my order to be taken. So the cashier looked at me again and asked what I wanted to order. This time I had to give her my order 3 times because the cashier was still focused on her co-worker's story. I sort of felt like if I was being filmed for a TV show to see how much until my temper level was reached. Eventually she took my order but I received the wrong items. All in all, I was there for about 25 minutes. It's because of this that I really stopped going to any Taco Bell. I don't know how the service is now nor do I know anything about the current status of that 30something Street location. Taco Bell pretty much lost me...

I'm so glad this survey came up for me to complete. As many of you are well aware, everything is out-of-this-world expensive. I was walking home from a doctor's appointment and stopped at Taco Bell. I was sooo hungry. I only eat once a day. In any event, I ordered 2 bean, rice and cheese burritos. They were the most inexpensive. There was an option if spicy or not spicy when I ordered the burritos. I don't like spicy food at ALL. I also ordered the Fiesta Potatoes which is really potatoes with cheese and sour cream. I ordered one with extra potatoes, cheese and sour cream. I take it to go as I was tired and wanted to get home. Once I got home and started eating the burritos, I found they were spicy. Like REALLY spicy. I couldn't finish one let alone both. So, after taking a couple of bites from the first burrito and realized it was way too spicy, I decided to just eat my potatoes. And what do you think happen? The potatoes were VERY spicy. I just wasted $11 on food I couldn't eat. Because the food was so spicy, my stomach was upset so I couldn't eat anything else. Ugh. Needless to say I was very upset and angry. It was too far away for me to walk back. Not to mention it started raining. And that's just the food. They had a bunch of children working their with no customer service skills whatsoever. NONE.

I just want my money back. I couldn't eat the food. My son couldn't eat it. It went in the garbage. That's a shame. And a waste. And I despise throwing food away. You ought to all be ashamed of yourselves. Employees, company and especially management. Bad management. That's where it...

UPDATE: TUESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2025, 8:31PM: I noticed no new changes at this Taco Bell, since my last visit.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2022, 8:49PM: I was pleasantly surprised to see some of the employees wearing face masks. Given there are almost always increases in covid19 cases after certain holidays, that was especially smart of those employees to wear face masks again. I was also happy to see the Mango Iced Tea and the Dragon Paradise still available.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, JULY 28, 2022: As usual, the staff at this Taco Bell are professional, polite, friendly and helpful. Josue took my order and he was very professional and friendly beyond the usual in most fast food places. He also provided me with additional information about one of the items I ordered. I must admit, it would have been nice to see more employees wearing face masks, especially since covid19 cases have increased considerably, since this past April, but I digress.

Taco Bell has become a very nice convenience for my life partner and me. We always receive very good customer service, they serve coffee at all hours, the bathroom is well-stocked and cleaned regularly, and it is nice to see the employees wearing face...
