My wife bought a chair from them and used it for 2 weekends and it broke so we called and the girl that answered said it would be no problem to bring it in for an exchange. Went in the next day and the owner was there and right away he gave me a hard time about the exchange when I couldn't have been nicer about it.
He said he no longer had the chair we bought and offered me no help in finding anything similar and told me he didn't believe me that we used the chair as little as we said. He was extremely rude and seemed like he was looking to pick a fight with someone because at one point he was calling me weird for having a picture of a bank statement on my phone from my mother in law that she sent me so I could show that we bought the chair at his store when he is the one who asked for proof.
He eventually walked away from me and the kid who was working there that day showed me 3 chairs that were similar to the chair I had and I ended up getting one of those chairs (which could have been done right away if the manager wasn't so worried about arguing with me). I went in to the store with the kid who helped me and was met by a lady (another owner or manager) that tried to embarrass me in front of a store full of people and also accused me of lying about the amount we used the chair and implied that we don't take care of our beach chairs at which point I walked out of the store, took my new chair and went home.
This guy kept telling me how great of a business owner he was but this is far from a good business practice because last time I checked insulting and embarrassing your customers is a way to lose business not grow your business. I know I will never shop at this store again and we have a lot of family and friends that go to Wildwood that will never go here again either. Horrible...
Read moreFirst and foremost, yes, some of the prices are a bit much, and I must admit there are quite a few items I see that are obviously cheaper. I think the signs I put above the door were like $15 when frankly they should’ve been more like $10. My mom likes the store more than me, she likes their swimwear despite the price, but I’m more weary of spending too much on products not entirely worth it. There are nice souvenirs and good gift potential, and I still consider going back and getting items I saw for future presents, but this is the kind of place that’s better getting a thing or two at a time. I’m curious as to how the Crest location compares, but this one is easier to get to as a local. I haven’t had any issues with the owner in the years family has...
Read moreI have been going to Wildwood since i was child. I usually have no need to visit a "souvenir shop". I just happened to stop in the old WaWa for a last minute gift. I was so impressed by this shop. They have everything you need from towels to jewelry. All in good taste and great prices. The staff was helpful and very sweet. Only negative is that I purchased more than expected. I cant wait to stop back and bring my...
