Sandy Shores Hotel — Hotel in North Wildwood

when i booked they told me i could book one nite, they booked me for 2 when i called they said they only had 2 nite stay available so of course i paid for 2 nights, 338.00 I believe with tax. I would not have paid more then 30.00 a night. Upon arriving at this place lady in office was kind of rude stating that they normally don't take people that are playing for beach blast which is a soccer tournament for my 9yr old twins. (never was told that when i booked either) and why the hell does it matter anyway. She stated no visitors were aloud to stop by. House keeping was nice for what they had to work with. I arrived to room the roomed smelled like musty old attic clearly it was very wet at sometime like a mildew smell (i did get two plugs in out of my vehicle vents and put them on air conditioner and humidifier) the room was very out dated, upside down picture on the wall over one bed, rust all over the little lamps and the refrigerator in the room, very small old TV, mold on bathroom floor, ran out of hot water after a 6 minute shower, humidifier beeping because it was full, (i empty and had to do it again at 4.20am) oh and all the floors are tile which are very slippery, cold and personally to dirty for my kids or myself to walk on, the table and chairs, (well should i say table because we didn't have any chairs in our room) was very old and wobbly so of course we could use it anyway, I have a suburban the parking was unreal!! park and leave your vehicle or you will not find a spot (well without paying) There is NO WIFI (well unless u go to office or pool area) which smelled like straight chlorine and unsupervised children running around throwing what seemed to be soda or tea at each other (got all over our chairs and towels). Rooms are very bright NO CURTAINS just blinds. The air conditioners are level with the beds so it blows direct in your face when you lay down. The door to room at bottom had all rust and chipped away paint. The indoor/outdoor carpet on outside of door was covered in dirt and was very wet, which on course when you walk in room the floor was dirty and wet, wow and really slippery. My twins coughed all night and very congested the next day ( i believed from the dampness and moisture in the room.) One of my girls complained of her chest hurting when she breathed. ( so if that is coming from a 9 year old you know something was wrong). I m sure I have missed some things but this should be enough for you not to book for your family...

I found this motel online the photos and reviews looked great, I was planning a 3 night stay for a family of 5 possibly 6 for my daughters birthday and I booked a room (room 105) , I found out after I booked that more people were coming down and I either needed an upgraded room or a second room so I called and asked if any suites were available and they weren’t so the gentleman on the phone told me he would give me room 105 and 106 next to each other with a little discount and give us a kitchenette for the same price and suites. We arrived at sandy shores on Sunday day of check in where I was then told the second room wouldn’t be available until the next day and we all had to cram into one room with two double beds, although inconvenient I was prepared to make it work until I opened the door to room 105 and walked in. The beds were all stained with dirt marks and yellow spots, the bedding itself was still damp the room smelled of mildew the air conditioning was filthy and was turning on and off I just the few minutes I stood there in disbelief I couldn’t understand how they can post photos of beautiful clean rooms and I was standing in this. The walls were stained with rust drips , the window had no curtains and broken vertical blinds, bathroom window was wide open with no screen and did not lock, and the door frame to the bathroom was rusted and chipped away the toilet was stained and the bathtub and liner were absolutely frightening. I made the kids go back to the car with the bags they were carrying and went up front to ask for a refund and I was not staying there, the one man at the front younger guy said they will not refund me my 600$ because they don’t do refunds. Then told me to take him to the room and show him what was dirty as if they didn’t know. So I argued for a few min and booked another hotel elsewhere and he said if the room sells they will refund me my money and they just now took more money out of my account to pay for the nights I never even slept or sat at all there. Been trying to call and no one answers or returns calls. I never complain and I am certainly not a bad person I understand it is a business and you need to make money to charge me for a deposit absolutely I would understand but to charge me and then keep charging me when I didn’t even stay at all is just ludicrous and I will be contacting my banking and taking this to another level with pictures to show how unsanitary this motel is. AVOID.......WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! I will never in a lifetime try and stay at this place again. Booked a room 1 month ahead and when i got there to check in on 07/08/2016 i was giving a tiny room with 2 small beds. I originally booked room 116/117, 3 beds, full kitchen full bathrooms. I get there and checked in. Once i was handed my key i went up to my room and it was not what i paid for. Didn't even have a kitchen and a small outdated bathroom. Went to the front desk and told the lady that, that was not the room i paid for. She then said that that's the only room they had available and that she cant do anything for me. Very rudely she asked me to leave her office and go talk to her husband outside. I asked her "is this the way you talk to your customers" she then told her husband that if i don't go outside, it was going to get very ugly. I ask if she was threatening me and she then act like she was walking out the counter. I stood there saying nothing else. She had my money. My room was paid in full. $587.00. I said I am not leaving until i get my refund. I was giving a hard time about my refund. Finally, I got a check and lucky was able to cash it right away.

I made it clear to them that i had drove nearly 2 hours to get there with my kids and family. Booked my room 1 month in advance to have security. And she made it very clear that she didn't give a crap. I think her name is "Janna" Light skin, black hair, with an heavy accent. She was a total b*tch. I rather stay a night out in hell before i give her my business. This place should really shut down. I will continue going to every rate site and rate this place as the worst stay...
