I’ll start with the good. I came for a gel manicure. They have good color selections. That was about it. Let me preface this review with this is the first time I have ever been here and therefore there might be other better nail technicians than the one I received. I have also been routinely (as in every 2-3 weeks religiously) getting my nails done for almost 10 years. I know the steps of a good manicure for the gel to last, and look good. The manicurist wanted to use the nail drill to smooth my nails. I refused as this thins my nails and is not good for them anyways. For me, it’s a red flag already. After hesitation, he obliged. He was rough and fast, and not in a good way fast. He never asked if I wanted to have my nails cut, he just started feverishly working before I even realized what he was doing. After the manicure portion he didn’t ask me to wash/rinse my hands. I know this is the next step of a GOOD manicure. He said no, I can wash them afterwards (you mean, after you lotion them…? Weird). I said it helps remove the sanded/filed debris. Sure enough, I have bumps under the color from debris. Also, before painting they should wipe the nails with rubbing alcohol to help adhere the gel to your nails. He didn’t do that either. I doubt the color will stay on my nails long.

I never leave a review, but I have to share the great experience I had. From beginning to end their service was impeccable!! This was my first time coming here. And let me tell you this is my new nail place to go!! Everyone was so friendly and Dylan who did my pedicure did such great work. I’m 8 months pregnant and getting around isn’t as easy anymore. He helped me with my shoes, socks and getting on the chair! Even after he finished doing my pedicure he helped put my shoes and socks back on. I used to go to Coco Nail Bar in Wyandotte, but lately their service has gone from bad to worse!! They have no professionalism, the talk very inappropriately and the girl Bella who did my pedicure the last time I was there cut me twice and did the pedicure half fast!!! It’s just a bad place!!! And they overcharged for a pedicure. Bottom line, if you’re ever in the area avoid going to Coco Nail Bar, instead come here!!! I promise you it’s worth the drive and the experience is beyond better!!! This is what a true good business is like. I will forever be coming here!!! Thank you Dylan again for the great experience and for making my feet actually look like a million bucks!! But also for making me feel comfortable and taking that extra step to make sure I was comfortable.

WOW 🤩 my first time here. I had a picture of what I wanted. Usually things have to be simplified and I have to compromise which can be ok if you are good at doing my nails. But this…. This nailed it! I will have to add to this review the name of my nail artist but wow! She sat with me for awhile to do this detailed work the way I wanted. Most of the places I have tried don’t do nail art over dip which is hard for me as the base must be dip powder or nothing. It’s the only thing that doesn’t strip my nails. She did exactly that dip powder with shellac art over it and I am mega happy. The colors are really close to what I wanted but I also had her pick… they know their colors best. I am stunned happy and will be back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Nail techs name is Tiana! :)

I had an appointment today for 4pm. I didn’t get to sit on the chair til 4:35 which was irritating bc I had the appointment for 4 and it was totally brushed off like no big deal. The person who worked on my nails maybe worked on them a total of 15 min tops and the entire time was checking the iPad and rushing on my nails but there were no other clients that were waiting on her. She shaped my nails so ugly then stated “next time you can get other shape” ok… well she made them looking fat and uneven shaped while also having color on the cuticles and on the actual nail skins itself plus got a bunch of dirt stuck on them from the powder and accused me of washing my hands with soap as to why they look like that. Actually it was the fact that she wasn’t paying any attention to my nails and just put clear coat over the dirt. Then she dismissed me so rudely by stating twice “ ok you’re all set” and to myself I was thinking ok I’m checking out my nails because I do not like them! I Did not get any goodbye greeting or thanks from this nail tech. I was shocked because I’ve been told they’re so amazing but honestly not worth all the hype. Paid 45$ and now needing to go somewhere else to get them removed and redone. Thanks a lot northville nails for the ugly nails! I will attach pics.

And to reply to your comment that you have left… there is no misunderstanding at all at least not from my part but YOUR tech DID NOT ask if I wanted tips nor did she mention that my nails will look that horrible after SHE decided to file them down a whole lot when I mentioned I didn’t want them short because my nails were a decent length. Your tech NEVER asked if the length was ok she rushed through my nails like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I waited 35 min after my appointment for no one to say sorry for waiting as I DID have an appointment which was 4pm. And let’s say IF she did ask me if length was ok.. at that point the nails were filed down so much that nothing could be done? Not once was I asked if the length was okay or if I was okay with the nails prior to the dipping process. Also I didn’t ask for my nails to be uneven I’m sure NO customer walks through your door and says shape my nails different from each other. Well mine are uneven and different shapes from other nails . I’m not sure how any customer is suppose to be ok with this? My nails look like a child painted them! Super embarrassing! I’ve never had a nail tech be that dismissive towards me and rushing me through the door like your tech did! How do you respond to bubbles and the dirt from the powder trapped on top of the nail or the red color painted all over the cuticles? Your tech blamed me and didn’t do anything to fix it! Of course instead of owning up to your mistakes you are blaming the customer! Shame on you and I’ll alert others of my...

Awesome place! Be patient & kind because these people do good work. I, personally, recommend an appointment & not just showing up.

Another great experience! Thorough & conscientious & artistic! Make an appointment ahead of time! Call to confirm, just to be safe.

Everything that follows after this paragraph still applies. I was a bit difficult today because I didn’t realize I needed to get a confirmation to confirm my appointment was accepted. I was going out of town & thought I’d made my appointment 4 weeks ago, but I didn’t get a confirmation. Tiara & staff explained it to me, so kind. I was so angry with myself. I struggle with technology. I drive a bit to come here, and Dylan knows this. He was able to kindly fit me in by giving me a polish change on my toes & feet. I’m so grateful. This salon has been a gift to me since my Mom passed. They are professional, extremely patient & very talented. I really appreciated their help & patiences today, as I did not handle things as well as I should’ve. Thankfully, they did. Make an appointment. Makes sure you get a confirmation & GO! You will never leave disappointed. God bless all the f them.

Got my nails done by Dylan Northville Nails. They are all so creative, talented & unbelievably kind. I asked for an ombré nail done with dip. I was so hypnotized by watching him work. I could never on my best day have imagined how to do this. I just don’t possess artistic intelligence. I have limited creativity. He said, “Find a picture & I will do it.” True to his word,he did. My nails are much healthier & stronger since doing a dip manicure. This could be addicting… Dylan also does amazing pedicures. So grateful I found all of them : Tiana, Jenny & Nick. Such a kind group of people. 🥰 My only suggestion would be to book an appointment on their website or call. People are recognizing their talent &...

The absolute worst French manicure I have ever had. The manicurist removed my gel polish perfectly, but what followed was terrible. She filed my nails, clipped cuticles and then took the VERY coarse side of her filing sponge to my nails. Painted two coats of white on the tips and finished with a clear coat that was dull. Had me sit under the nail dryer for a half hour and never came back. I went to the back to find her and ask if I should be expecting another topcoat. She had someone else put on another top coat…again leaving a dull finish. The result (from the filing with the coarse sponge) resulted in nails that were rough feeling, even through the two layers of topcoat. I went home and applied two coats of OPI topcoat and CAN STILL feel the roughness…happy I didn’t opt to have the pedicure I was considering that day. I have had manicures done for 30 years and know to expect…and this was NOT IT. What a waste of time and money. When I called to complain, the manager was never in. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment at a salon that is knowledgeable and professional. And they need to clean the nail dust off their tables and plexiglass dividers between the nail tech and client. There are many other salons within the area that offer MUCH higher quality services. PLEASE NOTE additional response: A response to your response… I did come in with gel in a COLOR that had to be removed. However, whenever I have French manicures done, they ARE NOT GEL and they are perfect. I paid for an “upgrade” with Tina, according to my $33 receipt and $10 tip which I mistakenly gave her prior to the service being completed…

This was the first time I had been at your salon and definitely the last.

Do you have any explanation as to why my nails were so rough after the manicure that the roughness could be felt through the two layers of the...
