Super 8 by Wyndham Asbury Park — Attraction in Ocean Township

The building is nice on the outside. Ample parking spaces. You'll most likely find a spot. The hallways is very dirty. You'll often find spider webs all over the place. I would say its dusty Floors in the hallway definitely need a sweep. The smell isn't strong but you notice a weird smell inside the stairways!

The guy at the front desk is very nice. But the lady not so much. Breakfast there is very simple cereal milk, coffee.. all the little things.

The layout of the room is very nice. Love the paintings and the colors are pleasing however Towels are all dirty. You'll find black marks on them and red marks on them. It seems like its blood stains. We requested brand new towels 3 times. And same issue. No fridge upstairs. No microwaves. No place to put your suit cases. It's literally just a room. The only conveniences is the bed and Wi-Fi

The bed was made nicely however the sheets are cheap and Thin. some pillows are hard and others are to soft. However the bed is comfortable.

Bathroom is nicely presented. How ever the towels are dirty with marks of red and black. The tub seems dirty as well with black and brown stains. Water doesn't get hot enough for a pleasing shower.

Housekeeping is very loud. Often doesn't seem to know wich room they have done by constantly knocking on the same door but They do a great job fixing the rooms.

Overall only 2 starts. In the summer it's very pricey to stay here but the rooms does not live to the price. I felt robbed. I would recommend only staying here if it's the only place to go.. choose as...

|CAUTION! BEDBUGS. This hotel 100% has BEDBUGS. When I first go into a hotel room I always check for these little creepy parasites of the night. Sure enough we found them on the underside of the mattress towards the head of the bed. So we went to the office and told the counter person “Raj”. He began to shake his head in belief and followed me back to the room where I showed him the evidence of the bedbugs and one I had actually squished. Raj then began telling us that they have a guy come once a month to spray and when asked if we could see another room he told us no bc we would “mess it up”. He was extremely rude to myself, my wife and my friend. I am very much offended by how we were treated bc we found bedbugs in one of their rooms. I believe that more people need to check their rooms more thoroughly and speak up bc that’s why these bugs are such a widespread problem. These parasitic insects will feed off of you while at these infested hotels and then you bring them home or to another hotel and on and on and on. There was also a foul odor in the lobby and in the room, unacceptable. I don’t typically write negative reviews but I swore to myself that I’d write one about this place bc of the disrespect and lack of professionalism I received from Raj at this Super 8. Terrible place! First it was completely empty and I wanted to check in at 930am rather then 1pm and there was a $30 charge! Ok fine I took an overnight flight needed sleep before the wedding that evening. The room was decent but dirty! I checked the bed and it looked clean so I took a nap. When I woke up I went into the dirty bathroom. Hair on the walls in the shower, dirt in the corner and something that resembled gum by the sink. Ok just one night. When I returned from the wedding the people next to us we're having a party...screening yelling singing and the TV blasting! I waited till 3am and called the front desk asking if they could please come ask them to be quiet. I was asked why several times and I tried to explain you can't hear me because it is Soo loud! No one ever came! The party went on till 530 am and then we we're left with just the blasting TV. We couldn't take it any more and checked out. I explained to the front desk guy what had happened and showed him the pictures. He did refund the $30 and apologized for no one coming to the room. This was a huge waste of money. Also there is a HUGE draft from the door to the room! Overall terrible place, go anywhere else, even your car...
