Sol's Jewelry & Loan — Attraction in Omaha

Saying this place is opportunistic would be a compliment. Hell even calling them low Ballers would be an insult to low Ballers. Staff is friendly and helpful, but it comes at the cost of literally robbing people blind.

I wanted a loan on a MacBook M4 (2025), the most they would loan: 300. it still sells for over 800 used, from the mouth of the girl helping me. A $500 margin on a laptop second hand? No one in the supply chain makes that even brand new in the box . Bose QC ultra less than two weeks old retail $399, offered $40 for a loan. Apple Watch Ultra 2 ($799), with the titanium wristband ($199), they won’t even accept unless it’s brand new in the box. Who would bring a brand new in the box item to a pawnshop when they could just return it?

The place is overstaffed probably running labor around +30% and the owner/management is dead set on raping/pillaging/plundering anyone who steps foot in the door in order to compensate for their own inefficiency in a poorly managed enterprise.

They have additional locations in Kansas City, where I am from, that I will be visiting, reviewing, and warning others about now that I have experienced first hand how they operate.

My experience at sols was deplorable. I'm a guitarist, I walked in & noone greeted me. I walked back to the guitar section & sent a text & when I looked up there was a very large black man hovering over me seemingly upset that I was there. He proceeded to ask me what I was looking for (like a criminal would be asked). I told him 4 items I was looking for and he had no clue what I was referring to. Then he screamed across the bay area for "someone with a key come help this guy". When the other guy strolled over, he also had no idea what the items I was looking for were either (patch cable, capo & fx peddle). I found the cable and just wanted to leave. It took this guy about 15 minutes to ring up one item while he was on his phone the entire time. Customer service is atrocious, the knowledge level is non existant, the prices are beyond high & these people are supposed to be able to accurately appraise items for loans? Please,, get real and professional if you are dealing with someone else's money. They lost out on about $1000 I was willing to part with. I am putting aguitar setup together and that could have been very profitable had any of the employees had any knowledge or manners. And forget polite, I'm sure they have never heard of the word. If I could rate below 1 star I fn would.

Songs jewelry and loan has changed quite a bit in the years they have gone way up in their prices if you was to go there on the South 16th Street and downtown Omaha and his main story you will find that most of the pricing for his used items that have been on the shelf for one year plus you'll find that those prices you can go to a store and buy a brand new one for the same price or lower price plus if you purchase any items they will forget to give you a piece of the item that you purchase like I purchased a Bluetooth speaker and they forgot to give me the microphone that goes to the speaker and I live 60 mi away from Saul's and in order to get it would have to go all the way back there and pick it up and they don't want to compensate for gas do not recommend songs for loans because they told me they take tablets I went all the way in there and they did not even accept the brand new tablets that I had stating that they just all of a sudden discontinued those types of tablets accepting them so basically I wasted trip recommend you go to EZ pawn in council...
