Its hilarious and genuinely entertaining to read the responses to reviews for this business. It's also incredibly embarrassing to see management/owners reply to reviews they disagree with by being completely over the top versus just choosing to not respond if the outcome doesn't change the review or better the business.
It really shows the maturity level of the people owning and running the business. Why go to great lengths to prove you're right about something you could just not respond to. What are these great lengths? Oh, reviewing audio and video surveillance for anything they disagree with to instead tell a story that they think will drive home how wrong the reviewer was for the comment.
It's a good thing Nebraska is a one party consent state and some how businesses get away with being able to cross reference audio for situations that do not require legal interference or action. It's the Wild Wild West after all.
As for mentioning your employees not being on the clock and still helping customers and not being paid to do so is an FSLA violation. If you aren't aware that's the Fair Standard Labor Act. I encourage your "god like leadership" to review what that means and the legal ramifications that could result in not paying said employees for even those few minutes performing work duties off the clock.
The amount of reviews about rude service from staff clearly indicate someone(s) are a problem whether you pull video and audio for every review you don't agree with. I am going to assume the extreme defensiveness for every even minor flub or review that doesn't reflect 5 shining stars are because that person that's rude or the problem might just be the person(s) responsing to these reviews.
Your responses as a business and a place that claims to be supportive to the LGBTQIA+ community and a friendly, enjoyable, welcoming, local Omaha business are not it.
I guess Nebraska isn't for everyone and your business...
Read moreCame in just on a whim, I love the bar and grill scene. First it took three tries to get our drink orders down from the bartender(Seth). Everyone struggles a bit when they are busy and they were busy when we first walked in. Then we tried to order food and my sister was trying to ask if you can order the burger a la carte because she didn't want the fries and wanted an appetizer as her side instead. She was not trying to get the app free, only to pay for only the burger and extra for the app. If they wasn't possible, fine. But instead of explaining it wasn't possible to do that he got rude with her explaining "this is the US I can't just give you an appetizer free with your burger" which again wasn't at all what she was asking. So we placed our food order. 5-10 mins later he came back and told us he didn't get our order in because he took 19 food orders in 9 minutes. 5-10 mins later another bartender came over and asked us for a card for our tab because of a lack of organization, but mentioned something on our order that wasnt ordered. After all that, he couldn't even get our order right, this time involving dietary needs. After we ordered, three times, we waited almost an hour as the bar became less and less busy. After everything we decided to just pay for our drinks and walk the 4 extra minutes to dirty birds. Seth was the rude bartender. I didn't get the name of the other one, but she was extremely nice and...
Read moreI really want to like this place because it's at a convenient location, but they make it very hard to. I'll start with their silly water policy. They refuse to provide free water, even to paying customers. Any place that serves alcohol and does not provide free water is doing things so wrong. They have the ability to, but just refuse to. My group bought a bunch of food and drinks and they still tried to make us pay $2 for bottled water. Ridiculous.
Regarding the food, it is bad even for bar food. A friend got chips and cheese dip, and the dip came out cold like it had been sitting out for a long time. The flatbread I got was gross and burnt to hell on the bottom. Their hamburgers were sad and unsatisfying. It wasn't even a busy night, so I have no idea how they are missing the mark so hard in the kitchen.
The atmosphere is generally a little unwelcoming. There's an awful smell at the door when you walk in (I think maybe it's the smell from their grease trap? Gross...) The woman tending the bar when I went in previously did a great job and was friendly. Other than her, the staff is pretty uninviting.
I considered giving 2 stars because at least they're open late and have karaoke sometimes, but then I remembered how bad the grease trap smelled again! Gross! Bro clean that thing! They can and should do way better. Until they do I will urge my friends to choose a different place when we're out. It was just not a...
