This is one of the only modern dark rides that I consider flawless. That's because even the most impressive rides (Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, etc.) falter at times with their photo-realistic attempts.
Spidey smartly adheres to a cartoony aesthetic. Everything you see is exaggerated, yet consistent, so there's no moment that shatters the illusion. And the transitions and pacing here are simply unmatched, even by Disney standards. Some rides tend to bounce you around like a pinball throughout chaotic screen after screen (think of Transformers next door), but Spider-Man wisely sets every scene in a static location. We move from one place to the next via physical sets and clear linear storytelling. This makes the dynamic finale feel much more intense than anything before it, as the stakes are higher for both the hero and the riders.
The queue feels dated compared to the elaborate theming found in line for Velocicoaster and Gringott's, but make no mistake: Once you board your S.C.O.O.P. you'll be treated to a masterclass in dark...
Read moreWhere do I even start with the Amazing Adventures of Spider-man? Despite the ride being built in 1999 it still holds up to this day. And part of the reason is that the screens got an upgrade in 2012 which look and feel so real. The screens even look better than other rides at Universal Orlando that came after the 2012 upgrade such as: Transformers the ride 3D, Fast and Furious Supercharged, and Skull Island Reign of Kong just to name a few. The rides hilarious sense of humor also has a part of why it’s so popular. Some theme park rides at other parks and resorts try to be funny when they’re too serious to be. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man does not have this issue balancing the serious moments of the ride with the more humorous beats. Overall the ride is incredible with its cutting edge technology and mechanics which makes it a must-do ride for anyone visiting the resort. Do not sleep on The Amazing Adventures...

we have visited this in off season so it was only 10 minutes wait for us. this ride is in Marvel superhero island section. The ride is based on the classic 90's Spiderman cartoon and not on movies so moviegoers can be bit disappointed but nevertheless, excitement is same and few villains have appeared in spidey movies. It's fast, has interesting twists and turns, and the floating and falling sequences feel very real. It's a 5-D simulation ride (similar to the transformers or Simpsons ride,), so visuals are great and cool. If you sit in the front, you really fit the fire heat. You get squirt by water no matter where you sit. the feeling of falling from the top of the building and Spidey caught you on his web is totally real.
they do a great job building a -story and bringing the audience into it. Pay attention to the videos when you are in line. it's fun for all...
