Rubs Massage Studio - Oracle — Attraction in Oro Valley

I had a facial with Tess.. 5 stars for her.. she was professional, knowledgeable, kind.. explained the process and benefits of the various products she was using. It was a wonderful experience. My daughter also had a wonderful experience w Genesis and Charles...however, I had a horrible experience with a masseuse named Esther. I have a skin discoloration called vitiligo. It is fairly common, not a disease. Not contagious , however Esther didn't want to continue without using gloves, couldn't find any gloves, told me she felt very uncomfortable, continued w the massage but told me that if I should return that I needed to request a different person. At this point, I should have walked out but I stayed... This was part of a staycation and my daughter and I were having a spa day..so I didn't want to make a scene and ruin the moment..it was very expensive.I will not return or recommend Esther..at the rubs on Oracle and Orange Grove..I still tipped.. however Esther was ignorant, unkind, cruel even.. and it was highly uncomfortable ..People need to be properly trained on interpersonal skills as well as inserviced on various skin / health conditions. Her mannerisms upon seeing my skin was horror, and she didn't even try to disguise her disgust and fear.. she was able to continue w the massage which was ok.. but for the shame she caused me to feel it was a complete fiasco. Will not be returning. Do not recommend her. This was the getaway package which is $160 plus add-ons times two. A very expensive...

I still can't believe that the therapist Bobby found the roots of my strong neck and shoulder pain right away and made it disappear with his very experienced, "magical" touch. Now, even the pain on the inside of my knee is much better now, a few hours after my 50 minute massage! What a relief! I just get this kind of pain every once in a while and got worked on by another very good and experienced massage therapist, but it was always only half way gone. I just dropped in today and took the next available appointment they had and am now so thankful I got an appointment with the for me perfect therapist! The desk ladies are very professional, happy and warm. I had an alltogether pleasant experience there today and could not mention anything negative...and I am very picky...no, let's say sensitive, that sounds better! Another thing I liked about Bobby is that he talks only, if you start and signal that you would like to chat, but he leaves you in silence, feeling the massage when you stop talking. I love that!...

I cannot say enough good things about everyone at the Oracle Rubs. I called them upset and in pain when my chiropractor wouldn't see me because of COVID restrictions and I travel for work. I called Kayla at the Sahuarita location first, and when she couldn't get me in, she found a location for me where they could see me right away. Then when Stephanie at Oracle saw the notes that I was in pain from a pinched nerve, she called me and recommended switching to a different therapist, Tawni, who uses firmer pressure. So grateful for that! The massage was amazing, I can move much more freely now, and everyone was so nice and helpful. They were also very conscientious about COVID precautions, took my temperature, required masks from employees and customers. I will definitely use them again and recommend...
