We went in to buy at least 1 chair and ended up buying 2. We were in there a long time and the sales lady kept following us around, which I find very rude. I told her that if we had any questions, I would find her. She still kept coming back bugging us. I finally decided on the one I wanted, come to find out it was discontinued. Only one left was floor model. Wasn't really impressed but decided to take it. My husband was debating between a rocker recliner and an electric recliner. After a long time decided on the electric one. She talked us into a warranty that covered both "electric" chairs. Which we even asked to make sure about. About 3 weeks later, after selling one of our chairs and them hauling away the other one. They brought my chair and a totally different one than my husband hadn't even looked at. I was at work and my husband called told me. I called customer service and our sales lady wasn't in until Saturday and this one wouldn't be back until Monday. So another week will go by with no chair. Saturday came and sales lady called and tried telling me that we picked the rocker recliner, no I think I know what my husband picked and it was the electric one. Then she said she wasn't sure which chair we picked but she remembered it was $100 more! She was quite rude on phone saying she was sure he picked the other one that is why she wrote that one up but come in and let us know which one for sure. We live an hour away! I am so ticked off at this point , I tell her to come pick up my chair I am done. Thinking about, I am going to be in town on Tuesday, so we will see what is going to happen. I hate to start this process all over again! But WG&R will not be our choice again. Well they lost a $900 sale and any chance of our business again from us for $50. I hope they are happy. I sure hope they have a talk with there sales lady. Otherwise they will lose a lot of business. Word of mouth, means a lot unless...
Read moreIn my experience, getting new furniture can be exciting and stressful at the same time. I wanted and needed a new recliner and went to my go to store in Oshkosh, WG&R. I was greeted by Konnor, who asked me if I needed his help, I usually walk around leisurely on my own at first. Not this time and to save time, I felt I really needed his help from the start. Was I glad I did!!
I can be very indecisive, I explained what I was looking for in a recliner and Konnor took that information and ran with it!! In a very short time I had it narrowed down to two choices. But then.... my inner self knowing I eventually wanted to buy a new sofa in the near future decided to take a "quick look". Started out looking at small sectionals, I've always wanted one but again was indecisive. By this time Konnor was starting to get me, bless his heart. He suggested I also look at the sofas and after checking out a couple, he led me to THE ONE!!!! One look and I was sold!! He knew in a short time that my style was something unique and this sofa was just that!! I also should mention how very, very comfortable it was!! I am happy to say that I purchased the sofa, a recliner, two end tables and a coffee table.
It was one of my best experiences when buying furniture. Even though, I went in with only a recliner in mind and with no pressure from Konnor I did just that!! The bonus was, I knew I would be looking for a sofa in the very near future, and because of the affordable pricing I was able to do it sooner!!
Konner is knowledgeable, he listens and does not pressure! He made the proceess a fun and enjoyable experience!! To me, he was worth his time in gold!!
WG&R, he's a keeper!!

Read moreWG&R delivered a two-year-old chargeable battery pack for a recliner. The instructions state the battery MUST be charged within 6 months of the production date...prolonged period of storage can permanently damage the Power Pack. This battery sat in the manufacture's warehouse two years prior to WG&R delivering the product to me. It was manufactured 3/12/2020, during which covid-19 caused supply chain havoc. The battery was delivered to me 1/20/2022 (two years later). The battery will not fully charge and now it has been alarming, like a smoke alarm. It is designed NOT to stop alarming and that's with it unplugged. WG&R Customer Service and Store Manager said it was outside the 12-month warranty. $150 waste of money. The best they will do is sell a replacement to me at cost for $90. The battery is supposed to take 300 charges. It's deemed useless. Dealing with the Customer Service Call Center was the worst experience I've ever had. I am now uncomfortable to step foot inside a WG&R Store. It's unfortunate that this power pack battery has halted my 38 years of being a customer. Friends and family will be warned of a good furniture store gone bad. Our Sales Representative was courteous, kind and professional. The Customer Service Call Center and Store Manager have made this a very unpleasant experience because of their inability to accept the fact that they delivered a two-year-old...
