Before the remodeling, one of my favorite places to eat. I was happy when they reopened. My first time back after the remodel was a disaster. They served warm coke because they had no ice. Just set it on my table and walked away. No explanation. Ordered my favorite, “twice cooked pork”, and then I waited and I waited and I waited some more. I thought about leaving but stuck it out. They were not all that busy. Several empty tables. Food finally came after 45 min to an hour later. Was not the same quality as before and had nothing to drink because warm coke just doesn’t cut it. I left very disappointed but figured this was just a fluke as things just needed some more time for them to get the place organized since the remodel. So.........My brother was in town with his family and I took them to Phan-Shin, along with my wife. They gave us a table and then totally forgot we were there. After about 20 minutes we asked the owner what was going on. She apologized and got somebody to take our orders. When the food arrived I was ashamed I’d suggested we eat there. They said their food was terrible, and it was. My wife couldn’t even eat hers. I tried a bite of hers and couldn’t believe it. Long story...

I have been eating at this restaurant ever since I moved to oxford 3 years ago and never not once have I ever been treated badly, the staff and the owner are amazing, they are respectful kind understanding and polite, I am now a regular customer for life, because of the way I have been treated by them I have nothing but respect for this restaurant and it's workers. I have eaten many different foods on their menu and I love all of them, for a month now I have been on a low carb diet and can't eat much, but the owner Yvonne and her wonderful employee's Loreta, & Ashley are so caring enough to me that they make sure all my food is prepared correctly just for me so I am still able to enjoy the food I love from my Most favorite Chinese and Thai food restaurant. I appreciate you all so much thanks for being the awesome people you are and working so hard. Sincerely, Yours Truly David Thanks To...

I don’t usually write reviews, but Phan Shin has more than earned one. Over the past four years, I’ve become what you'd probably call a regular. It started with delivery to my dorm during my first two years at Miami, and by junior year, it turned into frequent dine-ins.

The food? Consistently incredible. I’ve never had a bad dish. What really sets Phan Shin apart, though, is the unique blend of both authentic and American-style Chinese dishes, something that’s surprisingly rare and hard to get right. But they do.

Still, what’s kept me coming back isn’t just the food, it’s the people. Over time, I’ve gotten to know several of the staff, and they are genuinely some of the kindest, warmest people I’ve met in Oxford. The food feeds you, but the service makes you feel at home.

Thank you, Phan Shin - for the meals, the memories, and the friendships. I’ll definitely be...

The location is great as it's downtown near a nice park with water fountains for kids to play in, and to find a shady spot to sit, talk, relax, read a book, or just enjoy a nice day. The service was friendly and helpful in making recommendations. They do offer and can make various vegetarian and vegan meals and have tofu available. The menu has a lot of food choices. The food seemed right on par with most of the other Oriental restaurants that I have eaten at. It was good, but not spectacular. The inside was very dated like from the 1980's, with the old dark wooden tables and seats. But overall it's a nice place for Chinese / Thai food. Prices are as expected and similar to other eateries of this nature.

This is a very solid place to get beef pad thai. It checks all of the boxes for the flavor needed for a good pad Thai: sweet, sour, and salty. However, my only gripe with it is that they don't understand what spice levels are. Their idea of making it more spicy is just to add more chili flakes, which doesn't really do anything. The workers are very nice—so nice that I left a tip for carryout. Will eat this pad thai again for sure. In conclusion: W people, W food.

Excellent service! Great food. The chef came out to our table to make sure the custom curry order was what I wanted and made a couple of suggestions. Service was the best. Recommend the Thai curry, sweet and sour chicken, drunken noodles - the pot stickers and egg roll also very good. The portions were big and the prices very reasonable - great value.
