This is a smallish place just off the beaten path in Oxford, Ohio. Their menu is somewhat limited and they do not offer alcoholic beverages which is probably why they were relatively empty while the nearby bars were all crowded. We tried the Samsa ($4.95, ground beef in a deep fried pastry shell) and the stir fried lamb with spring onions ($18.95). A soft drink war $2.50. The restaurant is halal in keeping with the Uyghur religious customs. Prices were reasonable and the lamb dish was enough for two. Some entree choices are marked spicy but you can order any heat level on any dish. Parking is on the street and can be tricky to find during busy times. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to try unique...
Read moreA hidden gem in Oxford, Ohio! The atmosphere is open and relaxing. You can watch Uyghur cultural performances on the TV or relax while waiting for your food. They make everything from scratch so don’t worry if the food takes a bit longer. The noodles are very fresh! We ordered the spicy meat laghman and tried the lamb and chicken. You can add ground chili paste to add extra spice. It’s very delicious. The Uyghur style yoghurt sounds delicious but we didn’t get to try it this time. This place is great for conversation as it’s quiet enough to hear well, so if you’re having a meeting, consider coming here! Next time we will try more dishes! Highly recommended to support this...
Read moreThis recently opened restaurant is a great addition to the Oxford food scene! We ate takeout, but the restaurant is cozy and they’re still decorating. The folks running it are really nice. Loved their goyro laghman noodles with lamb and a fried egg on top. It’s stir fried noodles, meat, and veggies and the sauce spice is tasty. I’m not an egg person, but the delicious fried egg was a perfect complement to the noodles. The home style with extra veggies was good too. If you like Arab or Chinese-influenced foods, you’ll enjoy this. (Uyghur people are a Turkish ethnic living mostly in Xinjiang of NW China so you get interlacing flavors...
