I'll start my story with this I have been going to Revivals Since it was on Perez Road and Cathedral City The first one and I must say has changed over the years but my experience there the last time I went to revivals and spent $100 what's atrocious and disturbing . Outlet store and I was going to buy a bag oversized shopping bag find Macy's sci-fi tickets I'm buying the bag why don't I put the items I'm also going to buy in this bag I was in a costume by one of their employees who told me I could not put the items I was going to buy in that bag I cannot use the back I was going to buy to put the items in I said perhaps maybe I should go and purchase this bag and then I will own it and then I can put items in my bag they told me you can't do that either well apparently they have a problem with people filling up bags and running out of the store but that's not my issue that's store issue I don't have a dog in that fight but I do have an issue with the lack of customer service the rudeness and the thought that they are the best on the Block let's just be clear it's not Rodeo Drive for all the Palm Springs $1 millionaires could have a seat and bring back the old revivals cuz it's all...
Read moreYou can see why this place has so many problems Dane the gentleman in charge of the revivals stores is the most arrogant zero social skills and has no idea it had to interact with anybody you can see the Apple doesn't fall far from the tree most of the workers have got tons of attitude they don't care about anything but themselves imagine that I went in about 6 months ago to donate about $40,000 worth of brand new clothes with mostly tags on it from a roommate that was a clothes horse and the way they treated me I took it to another thrift store and was they were completely gracious and grateful for my contribution yesterday which was Sunday I tried to go to the revivals in cathedral City at 5 minutes to 4:00 which they close at 4:00 I have my hands full of donations and try to walk in the store they said we're closed they close at 4:00 once again you can see they don't care you got a handful of beautiful donations and they don't want it so once again I'll go elsewhere don't waste your time and they need to replace Dane ASAP the store has so much potential but it's unfortunate that gentleman like that is in...
Read moreI've been shopping here for a few years and the place does have it's ups and downs. There are times when it seems to be staffed by employees and volunteers who are all grumpy, short, and have horrible customer service skills and then a week later the volunteers all seem to be new, happy, bubbly and eager to answer questions and help out. It's just hit and miss.
I agree with others that their pricing practices seem a bit shady. Sometimes you can haggle a bit on price but most of the times don't bother. And don't even bother asking the young hispanic man who seems to run the back area for help of any kind. He is rude to the point of being obnoxious. When I've asked a volunteer about an item and they refer me to him I just say "Never mind, I don't want it that bad." and walk away.
For a "gay" thrift store, oddly it's the straight female volunteers that are always the most fun, helpful and upbeat people in the place. If you need anything,...
