I want to start by saying that I absolutely love JCPenney, however, this particular store is just awful when it comes to signs, advertisements, and customer service. When I first walked up to the front of the store there is a giant sign for the salon saying that walking are welcome. I really needed a haircut so I walked to the back. The cashier was counting money, glanced up at me then back to her money. After a few moments of me standing there, she finally (and grouchily) asked what I wanted. When I asked for a hair cut she laughed at me and handed me a piece of paper with about 20 names on it saying that they were booked for the next week but if I put my name down they would call me sometime next week to set up an appointment (real glad they decided to put that sign out front). Then she went back to her money. My sister had picked up a few shirts off a rack labled for one of their big promotions 40% off of $40. Needless to say, even though they were marked for the promotion, they refused to give her the promotion. Kadesha (I believe is what she was called since I did not see a name tag) told us that even though the clothing was clearly marked for the promotion, the items we're too cheap to be considered part of it. When I told her it was not fair and false advertisement she claimed to not care because rules are rules and that's just how it is. After arguing with her for about 5 - 10 minutes, she gave us one of the three shirts for the promotion and made my sister go back and find something else to buy. I saw her later with another employee pointing at us and giggling. I may love JCPenney but I will never be back to this store and I suggest you go somewhere with better customer...
Read moreMy family and I bought a refrigerator from here and while the salesman was very nice and respectful, he was completely overbearing in his sales pitches and made everything much more difficult than needed. The item was on sale at an $800 discount. He stated that the price had gone up but they "would still honor the price that was posted." Well duh, because it's false advertisement if you don't....He also could not explain the receipt, which, if it was right, was too confusing to begin with and should be addressed with corporate. The thing that upset me the most was the soonest delivery date was 2 weeks away from the date that I purchased, meaning I would be without a fridge for about 5 days.(Due to the date of closing on my new home) The salesman said "here's a 'special' number you can call and change the date." Well the number isn't "special" at all and the date was unable to be changed. I realize you want the sale and the commission but just sell me my stuff, tell the truth and let me leave. This turned into a one hour process while I'm trying to tame a 3 year old. I will most likely never buy another...
Read moreOrder something offline in November and had it shipped to the store. Weeks went by and I never got any emails on my order if it was ready to be picked up even though it says it was shipped. I called up there multiple times didn't get anywhere and called back days later and and if my package was there. I was put on hold time after time no one could find my package...finally they found it said it was misplaced and in wrong place. Went to pick it up. And after I was told they found it and wrote a bite the lady said why did they tell you to come pick it up. She could find my package mintues later she went to look. Got it and it never had an invoice number on it and she said it wasn't even in the system. I have been completely frustrated with trying to get one simple package. Was very nice to everyone. Never complained I just wanted the package and was sent all over..and all that was said to me was sorry about that. We used to shop here on black Friday but stopped because we would never get our rebates. Love looking around in here but I want to ordering anything else...
