New York Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

Me and my fiancé ordered two calzones they were the Philly cheesesteak. My fiancé’s house was more cooked than mine on the outside, but the inside was almost completely wrong. And mine was not even completely done, from the outside in. When I complained and said it was not completely done and I wanted it remade, they told me it is done everything is in it. I will never ever go back to get food from this place ever again. We went back up to the counter and ask for a refund they kept pushing not to give a refund, and then they acted like they couldn’t speak English, and they did not know what button to press on the register. One of the men that were working in there kept asking what do you mean it not being cooked we kept explaining to him that it’s not done we want it cooked longer and they would not do that. So we just asked for a refund, and did not engage in the conversation at all. We got our money back left and left the food the way they gave it to us. On the counter, next to the register. I ate about two bites and my fiancé ate about three and we are nauseated, lightheaded, and have Heartburn. The total cost of this meal was $30. The worst $30 that I have ever spent in my entire life. I give it a 3 because the food is awesome but our experience today was not so great. I called ahead to place an order over the phone bc we had 4 orders with some special requests. The gentleman that answered the phone was hard to understand, when i started placing my order, he told me to come in and order. I explained i had 4 orders and I didnt want to wait. He grouled and huffed at me so I just said Nevermind and hung up. I then went on tge website and placed my order in hopes that everything would be right when I picked it up. A few minutes after I placed the order, the same man that grouled at me called me to tell me he couldn't make a calzone with no cheese. We eat here every year on vacation and this is the first time they have not been able to do this, my husband is lactose intolerant and cant eat cheese. I ask if he could do a pizza with no cheese and he said yes. When I picked it up everything was correct and very good. But two guys were sitting on milk crates in the kitchen on their phones and i had to wait for them to see me and come give me my order. customer service just really sucked today. If I had not already ate here and knew it was good food I wouldn't have ordered anything from here after the way he acted when I called. Order takeout and check your food. Are you looking for a place to sit down and wait for 45 minutes for a calzone and a small pizza? This is the location for you. The management was down right rude, any simple question resulted in being told to ask somebody else. The food took forever and the order...was wrong. They delivered two calzones, instead of one. When we alerted the management, we offered to pay for the second one because my small child has wondering hands and kept touching the food. The man came up to our table, ignored us and then picked up the food and delivered it to another table. With COVID being something that is around, I would not want someone else’s food. I’m sure they are not above this practice with someone else. The food was actually okay. So, if you want someone to yell in your face in a foreign language, and tell you to just talk to someone else, have a seat in New York Style Pizza.
