Hotel has six floors but when booking online for a room with a high floor, they charge an extra fee. Fortunately I called the hotel to ask preliminary questions including the number of floors, so don't be fooled by the deceptive online charges for a "high floor". I did splurge for the balcony room since I like the fresh air and I am glad I splurged on that. Too bad the weather was not warm and sunny, especially for an outdoor concert! Room with balcony was nice but fridge was off or not working properly. Fridges in rooms should never be turned off because they take forever to get to a cold temp...so for us, our food spoiled. Front desk somehow made it my fault for not reporting it earlier which is dumb. Since it was after 1am and it being completely off when we checked in, there was no way to know if it was working properly until morning. Called Front Desk for more blankets and was told I had to come downstairs to get blankets, apparently they don't bring to the room. I'm not sure if that's because of the strike or because of it being late after midnight. Lobby, sitting and business areas was very plentiful and contemporary in style. Not much for private sections though especially business center area. Pool area was nice, but don't know if the pool was warm enough for this time of year (Sep 30) but there were people in it in the morning so it must have been alright. The hotel itself seems to be in the business district of Pasadena. There are no restaurants especially fast food that was close. Nothing in walking distance except Starbucks and the staff didn't seem to know of any places to eat late at night. They didn't mention that Ralph's was close but it is not in walking distance so it needs to be driven to (especially at night). We were able to get food for our room before Ralph's closed...which was a bit of a waste due to spoilage from the fridge problem noted above. Parking was convenient and was underground but you have to have a key to get inside the elevator from garage. Make sure you checkin before you park so you can get a pass for your car and the hotel card key to get into elevator from parking garage. Their front entrance doesn't accommodate many vehicles so I'm not sure what they do during peak checkin times. Even with some of the slightly negative comments noted here, it was still a very nice hotel. The items noted are for the picky "Monicas" (Friends) out there to make their own judgment.

Half the staff at the front desk are not friendly and have no business being in hospitality. I booked through hotels.com with parking included and they tries to charge for overnight parking. Then after the first room they gave me was a mess, they said they were not going to charge me for parking. The first room they gave me was. on the third floor. The sink was not clean and there was dirt and stains on all surfaces like the place was not wiped down. I was switched to room 616 where the bed towards the window (with a view of construction) made squeaking noises when you got in and out of the bed. They do not have a laundry on site. After a week of being there I went to do laundry the morning of check out and they wouldn't extend my check-out past 30 min. I had to beg for an additional 30 min. I asked to speak to the manager but the woman avoided giving the phone to the manager. The Togo breakfast is decent and there is hot coffee and tea. The microwave is downstairs unless you ask them to bring one to your room. Other than those issues, comfy beds, nice sheets, hot shower. Guests wore their masks everywhere in the hotel regardless of vaccinations. Hotel is inside and outdoor mall that gives you discounts at their retailers and starbucks is a 1 minute walk. Overall an ok stay.

Great location! Super close to Pasadena Convention Center. Back door exits into The Paseo open-air shopping district. Quick access to Colorado Blvd and plenty of nearby local food options. Breakfast is complimentary for all guests and has an impressive spread. Hot fare included scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Fresh fruit, Bagel/toast station, Chobani yogurt, plenty of juice and milk options. I didn't enjoy the coffee, but it was free. Standard King rooms are comfortable and all rooms appear to have a mini-fridge. As a Hyatt Globalist, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a King Suite Rm 623. Quite easily the best room on the whole property. The unit was super spacious (and that's an understatement). Living room had double-high ceilings, and a wrap-around balcony. Kitchenette was equipped with a microwave, sink and mini-fridge. No serveware is included, but you can get dishes/bowls from the lobby and cutlery during breakfast hours. Drapes are electronically controlled, however it's not the most intuitive system. Odd quirks about this unit: charging outlets are few and far between. The sliding door to the bedroom cannot be locked for privacy, though it wasn't a concern for our family

Great place to stay. Location is good, a lot of the places to eat in the area. The hotel has a nice pool, that we enjoyed a lot. There is a lot of parking in the garage - strong pros. The breakfast is pretty delicious. The only thing that I would like to see - something special for the 4th of July (even a little sign or decorations, if not a special food). It always makes guests' stay more enjoyable.
