I didn’t appreciate the way that your staff went about handling what you saw as “misconduct.” Firstly, I was on my phone reading an e-book with my head down (I was curled up in a chair). And within 5 seconds, a guard (I assume) comes over and spoke to me in a manner that felt demeaning and disrespectful. I guess he assumed I was sleeping, but it would’ve been better to ask instead of just assuming. I didn’t know that head down reading something in my lap = sleeping....”If you aren’t sleeping, keep your head up, we are watching through the cameras and saw your head down and they told me to come wake you up.” ...but I wasn’t sleeping. Situation was handled poorly. I didn’t like the authoritarian way he spoke to me at all. And watching for my head being down? Is that really the worst thing someone can do in a library?...
