The people who work there genuinely care about the experience that their crowds have and their safety of course. Security is on the grounds both inside and outside. No they do not touch. Sometimes you get bumped into but its usually your own group members or a prop, or the wall that you just walked into.
Friendly and approachable, the staff aims to please and will definitely listen to your questions, comments and compliments or concerns. All you have to do is enter with an open mind and appreciate the efforts.
Three separate themed areas in one large industrial warehouse, there is bound to be at least one iconic room that you will enjoy. From clowns to zombies, demon dolls to crazy asylum patients.....there are tons of opportunities. The athleticism of some actors there REALLY stands out from other haunts that I have been to. Pull ups and slides on the floor...jumping on counters and such.
Prepare for the scares but also for laughter, many of the actors will answer back and interact and take the time to personalize, when they can. Keep in mind though..other groups are creeping up behind you and they deserve scares as well!
Take your time and enjoy the details too....lots of people when scared will run or put their heads down. Don't! Take in the decor in each room. It really is worth it to go in smaller groups....less than 6 is ideal to really spread out those jump scared.
I LOVE all things horror and haunts are my jam. I find that people who approach haunts with a sense of humor and appreciation have a better time. I have read as many comments and reviews as I could find and to be honest.....the good reviews are spot on and many of the bad ones are just reflective of people who either didnt even approach the owners to talk about issues or people who walked into the haunt with negativity.
Parking is pretty good ..some right at the attraction and a ton in a parking area right down the street.
Tell the owner who you enjoyed! Tell them where the best scares, costumes, makeup, decor and actors are! They really love to hear it!
And finally....I hope you have fun.
Oh...OFFER TO VOLUNTEER if you are interested in seeing...
Read more2nd EDIT: Ownerâs response is so unprofessional. Sorry the truth was told. This is a health and safety issue and people should be warned. Itâs no doubt black mold. Itâs an old stone warehouse with fabric tarps dividing it up that have probably been there for years. My clothes/hair smelled awful and my group complained about it. If the manager canât take it seriously, I can. Iâm having a professional go through with mold testing swabs to confirm and L&I will be getting called. This place is unfit for business.
1st EDIT: I had to go to the ER for a 1.5 hour bloody nose a couple of days after going to Fright Factory. I havenât had one in 15+ years. Season is changing, but I have no doubts is caused by the mold here. Leading up to this, I had black boogies when I blew my nose. It was so irritated FROM THE MOLD. Iâll be calling L&I. This place should not be in business for having an unhealthy environment. Only come here if you want to breathe and touch black mold. Your clothes will smell when you leave. Youâve been warned!
I wish I could have enjoyed this more, if it werenât for the amount of black mold here. Itâs awful! The plastic dividers you have to walk through are supposed to be clear, but they are blackened with mold. I smelled like mold leaving, and the day after, Iâm so stuffed up and feel sick. đ€§ If I knew how bad it was, I wouldnât have came here. Everyone is just bringing mold spurs with them home. I wonât be back and wouldnât suggest considering there are plenty of other attractions to go to that donât make you physically ill. Iâd love a refund for the real-life torture this place has put me through. I also feel so bad for the actors that work there, just breathing it in for hours đ« Itâs like they know itâs there and still puts employees and customers in danger....
Read moreWill preface that I try to go to 3 or more haunted houses a year and have moved around a lot so experienced a lot of different places. We went 9/28 (opening weekend) around 9 pm and there was no line, which made us kind of wary.
Will say that the spooks themselves were 10/10 - the actors were great and the sets were well done. The description says there are three separate haunts, however it functionally does feel like one and the themes of the areas grew muddled. My bf and I deliberated on how they defined the three "areas" after finishing. Conceptually, I love the idea that you have to keep walking through the entire haunted house to get out, but maybe due to the lack of a crowd/forced pauses, it just felt like one long haunt.
Crowd management was 10/10, but also it was not busy so can't speak to how it is on busier nights.
Overall this one was a hard one to rate because of the quality of actors/sets versus the quality of the overall experience. It only took us 15 min to get through and I am a relatively slow walker through these. For $40 a ticket ($86 for two tickets with fees), that feels very short. Would love to have rated it higher but I'm hung up on the cost of 15 min of entertainment. This may be because it wasn't busy at all. Some haunted houses have earlier season weekends discounted, and I think a $30 price would have been easier to forgive ($60 for the night vs almost $90 does...
