For a full review and to provide context - we only went here for the Trick 'r Treat Immerse Verse "AR" experience. Quick overall review (the score given):
As for the overall park - $20 per person for all day access - rides and such = a great price!
However, reviewing the games and prizes, they cost way too much for the games played/variety, potential tickets/points won for said games, and prizes to choose from. Arcade = 1/5 ...
The overall establishment, rides, snacks, and go-karts options, for the value = 3/5 ...
Now, to the main point ... Trick 'r Treat AR experience. This is an excellent concept ... but, only if they improve the experience. I assumed it was a private "time slot" per se. Nope ... it was us plus another couple doing the same option and another couple doing a "different" game/experience. Overall, for what this review is for = 2/5.
The graphics were cool, but not quite what was expected for the price - $40ish per person for 30ish minutes, what?
A shared 20x30ish room with 2 separate couples playing the same game (at different times, minutes apart) and another couple playing a different one, just cumbersome (for the same time slot).
Also, multiple players experienced the game stopping and the "handlers" had to reset the headsets and game points.
From a programmer/IT/gamer perspective, I HIGHLY suggest only running a single game with private groups (for an hour at that price) playing the same game/option/experience ... not multiple within the same 30 minutes.
Loved the theme, but...
Read moreThe staff here was awesome, and the rides were well priced after a coupon. Check your various pamphlet and coupon books in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, chances are you'll find a coupon for this place. We used a coupon here to get a card with a bunch of points and my family had a lot of fun. The staff was very understanding and helpful too.
My Autistic son is sometimes hit and miss on some rides, you never know if he'll love it or get overwhelmed. Usually he absolutely loves water, but he didn't like the bumper boats, and the staff was very understanding about it (We had to come back and get out soon after leaving the dock, they didn't charge us). He was still crying afterwards, and a different staff member came up and asked if he was alright and if they could help. My son did enjoy riding in a double go-kart though, that was his favorite. He struggled with the spinning balloon kiddie ride, and the staff was helpful and asked my wife riding with him if she'd like to step off.
We didn't end up going into the arcade, but we did almost all of the outside rides and generally my children all enjoyed them. There are pricier and less well kept Go-Kart/ride attractions on the strip (Sometimes $13 a ride!), this is definitely one of the better locations. The staff here was the difference, they were really understanding and helpful with my one Autistic son. Among the different kart/ride places we visited last weekend, this is the location we would...
Read moreWhen my party of 5 first arrived we got “checked in” quickly using prepaid tickets but then was made to wait while a much larger group was checked in then measured and given arm bands before the attendant measured our group and gave arm bands to us… then, a little while later, we found out that the armbands we were given were the wrong ones (he put the adult bands on the kids and the kids bands on the adults). This mix up resulted in my group having to stand around, while try to keep 2 young kids entertained, as the ride attendant tried to figure out what to do. This waisted our time at the park and really affected our patience levels at this point due the the issues at check in that already resulted in us waiting for nearly 30 min from the time we arrived until we had our arm bands, despite being the first in line with prepaid tickets in hand.
There was not much to do but rides were okay for the one hour pass we had. There was one ride that was out of order and one that was closed due to not enough people working to have an attendant at it. There was 3 rides that only our 4 year old could ride, 1 ride the 4 year old couldn’t ride but adults and 14 year old could, and only 1 ride that our almost 2 year old could ride. 1 of the rides for small kids was barley rideable by my 4 year old because it was a tea cup type ride where the rider has to spin it and he could barely turn it. The big go cart track was decent and the small one was not...
