Bad experience. I just purchased a nintendo switch from them 2 days ago. I ended up not needing it, so i went to go return it. Mind you, it has not been tampered with, turned on, nothing. When purchasing, i was told if we did not like it or something was wrong, bring it back and theyll give store credit or refund. 2 days after sale, i’m back and i want to return it. I was met with an employee who tells me that theyll give me 60%. As i’m asking why, especially when it was 2 days ago, i have the receipt, and nothing is wrong with it, the first associate tells me that you cant just buy stuff and bring it back because you dont like it. What exactly is the point of a return policy? Associate number 2 cut in rudely and gave me a whole rap about how its policy, they dont give cash refunds, and we have a 14 day grace period to get 60% back. Their claim was thats how they make money. So, i took the 60%, but as i’m getting my return, im forced to tell customers the truth about the procudts theyre buying because associate 2 just sold items to 3 different customers and nothing was said about 60% on returns, just that if they bring it back within 2 weeks they can return it. As i inform the employee that they should probably let their customers know that they will only get 60%, i was only met with more snoody attitude . This place is a scam especially if youre buying gifts for people. Would definitely not recommend. If youre going to get scammed, dont go to a mom and pop store for it. Gamestop does more for you, and thats...
Read moreMy wife and I visited the store a few days before Christmas wanting to buy a few extra thing for our son and myself. I brought in a old collection of about 45 ps2 games and a console with no controllers. I also had brought in a she's I had just purchased online and was hoping they would test it. I had called multiple times earlier that day and gentleman named Kyle was more than helpful and patient with me to answer my questions about product pricing and availability. Kyle even had items set aside for me. When I did visit the store with my wife everything was ready and the young man Chase who helped me went above and BEYOND!!! Not only did he help me test all the trade ins as quickly and pleasantly as possible he helped other customers and was kind and entertaining to my son and wife. He was engaging and knowledgeable about his trade. Even more so I bought a gameboy advance which did end up with a small sound issue which they fixed but when I asked if could instead trade it back for a special edition new version of advance sp Chase made it happen, he also helped my wife pick out gifts for my son and I without us seeing that made our Christmas awesome. Thanks Game pawn you put games top in...
Read moreFully tested? That will only apply to your patience, not the quality of the OEM controllers. A day after I purchased a PS2 controller that I explicitly asked if it was tested, to which a staff remember replied YES. I pulled it out of the pre-owned bag and behold! Missing pins and a cracked controller housing in addition to some severe stick drift.
I took the product in to return and they will not refund you, only product replacement and store credit - even though they sold me something that they said was tested AND never told me that returns would only be available in store credit. That was only found out by me when I saw the receipt.
When I brought up some of the issues that the controller had and mentioned "so it isn't sold to the next person" - The staff member I spoke to said "Oh NO that goes through a whole return process" - well explain how a faulty and cosmetically damaged controller made its way to me if your return process is so thorough?
Super unimpressed - I'd...
