Who couldn't use a little more relaxation in the day? I usually try to visit SweatHouz immediately after my workout or if a rest day I will go as late in the evening as possible. The owners, management & staff are friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. They always do everything possible to make your experience perfect for you!
Each suite is a private room designed to give you the most beneficial experience possible. Upon arrival you are given a chilled aromatherapy towel of your choice, taken to your room where they help you set up your color light therapy of choice, set up your music of choice using the room's iPad and your 60 min timer is set.
You can break up your time as needed. I usually will sauna for 40 min & shower/cool down for 20. They provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and even have make up removing wipes and shower caps if needed. I personally enjoy turning the lights off, putting on some "spa" music and laying in the sauna for ultimate relaxation!
So far I have noticed relief from sore muscles & joint pain, clearer skin and best of all better sleep! I would suggest you either wear very loose fitting shorts & t-shirt, a bathing suit or if you're like me, I usually just wear a sports bra and running shorts.
I cannot say enough good about the SweatHouz Plano and I am so excited to...
Read moreThis is one of our family's favorite areas in Plano for shopping and restaurants. Many, many choices and varieties of food are available. Also great area to walk around for people watching and enjoying an urban setting in TX. And there are many apartments if you want to live in the neighborhood. As of Apr 2015, there is a great deal of construction ongoing as the retail/housing area expands. Located right next to North Dallas Toll road to go south to Dallas or north into Frisco and Collin County. UPDATE May 2016. Smart urban planning by city and developer. We have watched this area grow and prosper since 1992 when we moved into the area. Great retail mix for nearby apartment residents and for destination travelers. And there are ample places to park your car; street or better yet during hot weather the free parking garages. Very pedestrian friendly, so park your car and stroll around. Hang out on the street side tables to be seen and watch the passing parade. Nearby Marriott Hotel for out-of-town visitors is very close to the heart of the area (Bishop Street). Right next to North Dallas Toll Road and south of Sam Rayburn (Hwy 121) intersection so easy to get to from...
Read moreA very nice district with decent mix of businesses, apartments, shops and, most interestingly, nice restaurants. The food hall is a very nice touch for the area. I think that a nice French pastry shop would have added so much to the appeal of this area (cupcakes are so generic and not special).
This is normally a nice place to have a meal and relax, except for the nuissance from the numerous cars with very loud engines that disturb the peace of diners and visitors on many weekend nights up and down the main street and in the main parking garage. Imagine nice music playing creating an enjoyable mood...this is opposite of what you get here! What a shame that nothing is done about it. I guess that some insecure men with believe that their loud cars can compensate for their shortcoming and have no respect or consideration for the right of others. It is curious that there is ordinance for the businesses to stop music and live performances (which I don´t think affects residences), while there is none to control the persistent nuisance from loud cars that goes most of the night. I think that it would be good to have the establishments open longer with...
