Thrive Appliance — Attraction in Pleasant Grove

Wish I could have had a better experience, maybe people do find deals here but I just got a wild goose chase. Miscommunication abounded, it seemed they were unprepared for the sale. Tried contacting them the week prior to Labor Day via Facebook, their contact form, calling/leaving a message, AND texting. Wasn’t clear whether they were open or doing a promotion since the automatic phone message said they were closed on Mondays and I didn’t get a response until via text a couple of hours before their sale was over! I needed a very specific refrigerator plus shopping for whatever laundry set, and didn’t want to waste time if the fridge was not in stock. The text said they had 1 left and to get there ASAP. We arrived 20mins after receiving that message, and it was a waste of time. There was only ONE salesman for this big sale during an appliance shortage! He was courteous, but could neither locate the fridge I was told was there nor pull up any sales records to show they had sold it or if it existed at all. He could not answer questions because whoever was in charge of that had left (before the sale was over?), whoever had texted me was unknown and off-site—super blame game and unprofessional. There were too many people for him to adequately help anyone, many did not wear masks including him which was uncomfortable. Sold inventory was mixed in with the available ones, so trying to find something even if I had an ad to reference would have taken a while- and I stayed for 30mins with my family in the car. Left frustrated and angry from being tricked into walking into a sale rather than genuine products...

Update: we bought a refrigerator from Thrive, and it's been a nightmare. Thankfully we'd purchased the extended warranty, but the warranty company they use only has one Provider in this area that services scratch and dent, and that Provider is seriously awful. The refrigerator went out twice within 6 months. We had to go buy a new fridge, but are still dealing with the one we bought here and trying to get the warranty company to take care of it. Two of the three appliances we bought here were bad, and that's not a track record I can recommend, especially because trying to save a little by purchasing here has ended up costing us nearly a thousand more than it would have been to buy somewhere else because of warranty deductibles, lost food, etc. Also, the washer mentioned below ended up having to be returned, and the dryer is now broken barely 4 years later. I leave the two stars because they are so nice, but the products...not so much.

We purchased a washer and dryer from Thrive Appliance and had a great experience. They were very helpful, not pushy at all, and helped us find exactly what we wanted within our budget. We purchased the warranty, and we did have a problem with the washer we bought. They had someone out the next day to take a look at it. We've already recommended others to them, and will return for our future...

Didn't know this little gem existed before today!! We're looking for a dryer after just buying a new washer last week. Ggrrrrrrrr!! Thrive Appliance is tucked away in a strip of businesses next to a school and we got there as school was out. Our story gets better as we found Thrive and were extremely well treated by the workers. They have all kinds of scratch and dent appliances that have really good prices. Please do some homework before you go, so you know what the big box stores are charging. We were pleasantly surprised and we're happy to recommend Thrive Appliance in Pleasant Grove, Utah. One of the workers said, "After working here, I'll never be able to buy an appliance at a big box store! If you take the time, the appliance you want will come into our building. You'll get what you want for a very good price. " I highly recommend Thrive Appliance and encourage you to save money (if you can wait a few weeks, please do it and if you can't wait, then you'll need to pay retail price and I realize that this happens to everyone at some point in life and it hurts the pocket book!!) by going to Thrive Appliance!!
