Fabulous burger (Bourbon Bacon Burger). It had some of the best bacon I ever had on a burger. Perfectly cooked and the consistency was perfect as it broke apart a you chewed, not “chewy” and not crispy…. Perfect! The flavor of the meat and the doneness was right on. As important as what’s in the burger is what surrounds it…. The bun! Soft and flavorful, not stealing from the flavor of the meat, but complementing it. I also tried the fried pickles, which were also very good. Not greasy or too salty. Delicious! I did comment to the owner that the Honey Mustard sauce that I asked for was just OK, but the Ranch that came with it was actually a better match. VERY reasonable price! You can still get a top-notch burger for under $10 ??? Yep!! You have to give it a try. I had my calories for the day and will try a shake the next time. They look awesome!

UPDATE…

Went back with the family Friday late, 45 minutes before closing, bragging about this new burger place. Well…

A.1. Steakhouse… I shared this with my wife, as we weren’t too hungry and were very disappointed. There was no contrasting flavors, as the Crispy Onions were barely there. (Nothing like the picture). Almost didn’t finish. Was a disappointment after having such a great Bourbon Bacon Burger previously.

Buffalo Chicken Tenders… My daughter ordered these and also was very disappointed. Soggy, no crunch left after being dunked in, very vinegar heavy sauce. I tried them and a little voice in my head said “don’t order chicken from a burger place”, so true!

Bacon Cheese Fries… The fries were, eh. Coated with a cheese that seemed to be dispensed from a machine, not what I would expect, which should be shredded cheese sprinkled and heated in a Salamander and then sprinkled with crumbled bacon. Nope! Soggy, undercooked bacon pieces.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake… Was served in a soda cup with a flat soda lid. A big no no! If you can’t make things like the big, bold pictures shown, you’re not doing things right. It tasted OK, but won’t be ordering another. Not worth the calories!

Summary… Title should be Jekyll & Hyde Burgers, as you can’t tell which one you’re going to get. I will give them 1 more chance, as I know it was right before closing and no manager “like” person visible, but true quality shouldn’t matter and more training is...

I REALLY hate to leave a negative review. As a small business owner, I know how important reviews are. So I normally only leave a review if I had a 5 star experience. And if it’s anything less than that I’ll normally just let it go. But our experience here was not just bad, it was terrible. I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were having an off day. (It WAS very crowded.) But my husband and I ordered two burgers, one shake and onion rings. We sat for over 35 minutes before we had to go check in with them and then they brought our food to us. When we FINALLY got our burgers, our order was wrong. My husband got his without mustard or ketchup and it came smothered in both. So they told us they’d get him a new one. Meanwhile while waiting for that, I realized we never got our onion rings! So I had to go back and let her know. 10 minutes later, we get the correct burger and the onion rings. The onion rings were COLD!! Not just “not hot” but full on cold. And they were really difficult to eat because they were so cold and hard. Also, my husband’s shake was melted! We think they must have forgotten about our order and left it sitting out, which is why the shake was melted and the onion rings were cold. To add insult to injury, our buns were hard and the burgers didn’t even taste all that great. They were fine, but nothing special. My husband said “as a small business owner, at this point I would have just offered our customers a refund.” Again, I’m guessing they were having an off day and they must have forgotten about us. We were probably a “one off” case because the place was as super crowded and popular. I wish them luck. But we won’t be returning and we definitely won’t be recommending to anyone....

We went to this restaurant after seeing a positive Tik Tok review. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype.

First, for 4 burgers, 4 sides, 4 drinks, and 4 shakes, we paid almost $100 (before tip). While we pay the same at other burger restaurants, the food DID NOT compare favorably with other burgers in the same price range. The burgers themselves were okay, but the sauces were too heavy-handed. We tried the fries, the tater tots, and the onion rings; only the onion rings stood out as solidly good.

While the cashier was courteous and friendly, the person delivering food was impatient and rude. In addition to being short with us, we also observed them rolling their eyes at other customers and being very condescending toward a DoorDasher. There was also insufficient seating (suggest taking it home with you instead of dining in), and the lights in the while restaurant kept cutting out.

The most disappointing part was the shakes. While the cookie butter and cinnamon toast shakes were okay (again, not as good as other shakes in the same price range), the red velvet shake was downright nasty. It tasted like cheap frosting that had turned. It came with a mini red velvet cupcake on top, which I tried out of curiosity. It was clear that the shake was made from these. Somehow, they managed to make both the frosting and the cake overly sweet with a bitter aftertaste. I had to throw out most of the $7 shake because it was virtually inedible.

Shake aside, the food was okay. We just didn't like it enough to spend that much on it. If you're looking for a good burger, I'd suggest going to CHOM instead—much better food for...

I visited Wayback Burger with moderate expectations, hoping for a decent meal. However, my experience was unfortunately marred by several issues that significantly affected my dining pleasure. Firstly, the service was painfully slow. It took almost thirty minutes for our simple order of two burgers and a shake to arrive at our table. Considering the restaurant wasn't particularly busy at the time, this was quite disappointing. The burgers themselves were passable in taste, but they lacked the freshness and quality one would hope for in a burger joint that prides itself on using premium ingredients. The tots, which we ordered as a side, were served cold. This was a major letdown, as hot, crispy tots are a staple of comfort food and a dish that should be straightforward to get right. The temperature of the food is a clear indicator of how well an establishment manages its kitchen operations, and in this case, it was not up to par. To add to the discomfort, the restaurant was cold and poorly heated making it difficult to enjoy our meal. Given the lack of attention to the quality and temperature of the food, coupled with the slow service and uncomfortable dining environment, I can only give Wayback Burger 2 out of 5 stars. I was really looking forward to a good burger and some nostalgic cheer, but the cold food and cold temperature left me feeling rather deflated. I hope they can improve these areas in the future, as there is potential here for a much better experience.

I rolled up to Wayback Burgers thinking I could outsmart a burger by deconstructing it onto fries. Spoiler: the burger gods were not impressed. The real MVP? The counter server who answered my ridiculous questions with saint-like patience and actually brought food to our table like some fast-food fairy godmother. In a world of “order 47, come get your sad meal,” this was refreshingly human. My brilliant deconstructed burger experiment was… fine. You know, “fine” like your cousin’s potato salad – edible but missing the magic. Turns out there’s a reason burgers come pre-assembled. Next time I’m trusting the engineers and ordering like a normal person. But the chocolate brownie shake? Pure liquid regret. Despite reading warnings that it was sweeter than a rom-com and runnier than my gym excuses, I ordered it anyway. This shake was so thin I spent more time stirring than drinking, and sweet enough to cause diabetes through osmosis. Should’ve gotten a soda and saved myself the disappointment. The Verdict: Great service, decent burgers (if you don’t try to reinvent them), and shakes that are basically chocolate-flavored mistakes. Skip the liquid stuff, stick to the solids, and tip that counter angel and you may get the extra effort you paid for!

This was the first time I had ordered from this burger chain and it will probably be the last. I ordered the Spicy Melt and Cajun tots. I’ve never had a burger that was so incredibly greasy that the grease was running off of the paper wrap. It was just disgusting. I was hungry and back on the road before opening the bag so I wasn’t going to turn around and take it back. It took half the napkins in the bag to sop up what grease I could then took a bite. The meat had the taste of “almost bad” hamburger. Like it should have been cooked yesterday. Plus there was no spice in this sandwich at all. I know what pepper jack cheese tastes like and this certainly didn’t taste like pepper jack. Nor was there crispy onions on it. Or, if there was, they were so soggy that they had no crunch left. Now the Cajun tots. What a disaster!! First, they’re almost as greasy as the burger and the Cajon seasoning is absolutely caked on them so thick that they look burnt. Very nasty! I’m so sorry that I ordered from them. I really wanted to like them as a good alternative for a burger when I’m on the road. But that’s not going to happen.
