Fabulous burger (Bourbon Bacon Burger). It had some of the best bacon I ever had on a burger. Perfectly cooked and the consistency was perfect as it broke apart a you chewed, not “chewy” and not crispy…. Perfect! The flavor of the meat and the doneness was right on. As important as what’s in the burger is what surrounds it…. The bun! Soft and flavorful, not stealing from the flavor of the meat, but complementing it. I also tried the fried pickles, which were also very good. Not greasy or too salty. Delicious! I did comment to the owner that the Honey Mustard sauce that I asked for was just OK, but the Ranch that came with it was actually a better match. VERY reasonable price! You can still get a top-notch burger for under $10 ??? Yep!! You have to give it a try. I had my calories for the day and will try a shake the next time. They look awesome!
UPDATE…
Went back with the family Friday late, 45 minutes before closing, bragging about this new burger place. Well…
A.1. Steakhouse… I shared this with my wife, as we weren’t too hungry and were very disappointed. There was no contrasting flavors, as the Crispy Onions were barely there. (Nothing like the picture). Almost didn’t finish. Was a disappointment after having such a great Bourbon Bacon Burger previously.
Buffalo Chicken Tenders… My daughter ordered these and also was very disappointed. Soggy, no crunch left after being dunked in, very vinegar heavy sauce. I tried them and a little voice in my head said “don’t order chicken from a burger place”, so true!
Bacon Cheese Fries… The fries were, eh. Coated with a cheese that seemed to be dispensed from a machine, not what I would expect, which should be shredded cheese sprinkled and heated in a Salamander and then sprinkled with crumbled bacon. Nope! Soggy, undercooked bacon pieces.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake… Was served in a soda cup with a flat soda lid. A big no no! If you can’t make things like the big, bold pictures shown, you’re not doing things right. It tasted OK, but won’t be ordering another. Not worth the calories!
Summary… Title should be Jekyll & Hyde Burgers, as you can’t tell which one you’re going to get. I will give them 1 more chance, as I know it was right before closing and no manager “like” person visible, but true quality shouldn’t matter and more training is...
Read moreI REALLY hate to leave a negative review. As a small business owner, I know how important reviews are. So I normally only leave a review if I had a 5 star experience. And if it’s anything less than that I’ll normally just let it go. But our experience here was not just bad, it was terrible. I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were having an off day. (It WAS very crowded.) But my husband and I ordered two burgers, one shake and onion rings. We sat for over 35 minutes before we had to go check in with them and then they brought our food to us. When we FINALLY got our burgers, our order was wrong. My husband got his without mustard or ketchup and it came smothered in both. So they told us they’d get him a new one. Meanwhile while waiting for that, I realized we never got our onion rings! So I had to go back and let her know. 10 minutes later, we get the correct burger and the onion rings. The onion rings were COLD!! Not just “not hot” but full on cold. And they were really difficult to eat because they were so cold and hard. Also, my husband’s shake was melted! We think they must have forgotten about our order and left it sitting out, which is why the shake was melted and the onion rings were cold. To add insult to injury, our buns were hard and the burgers didn’t even taste all that great. They were fine, but nothing special. My husband said “as a small business owner, at this point I would have just offered our customers a refund.” Again, I’m guessing they were having an off day and they must have forgotten about us. We were probably a “one off” case because the place was as super crowded and popular. I wish them luck. But we won’t be returning and we definitely won’t be recommending to anyone....
Read moreWe went to this restaurant after seeing a positive Tik Tok review. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype.
First, for 4 burgers, 4 sides, 4 drinks, and 4 shakes, we paid almost $100 (before tip). While we pay the same at other burger restaurants, the food DID NOT compare favorably with other burgers in the same price range. The burgers themselves were okay, but the sauces were too heavy-handed. We tried the fries, the tater tots, and the onion rings; only the onion rings stood out as solidly good.
While the cashier was courteous and friendly, the person delivering food was impatient and rude. In addition to being short with us, we also observed them rolling their eyes at other customers and being very condescending toward a DoorDasher. There was also insufficient seating (suggest taking it home with you instead of dining in), and the lights in the while restaurant kept cutting out.
The most disappointing part was the shakes. While the cookie butter and cinnamon toast shakes were okay (again, not as good as other shakes in the same price range), the red velvet shake was downright nasty. It tasted like cheap frosting that had turned. It came with a mini red velvet cupcake on top, which I tried out of curiosity. It was clear that the shake was made from these. Somehow, they managed to make both the frosting and the cake overly sweet with a bitter aftertaste. I had to throw out most of the $7 shake because it was virtually inedible.
Shake aside, the food was okay. We just didn't like it enough to spend that much on it. If you're looking for a good burger, I'd suggest going to CHOM instead—much better food for...
