Viewing the signage for this shopping district gives some indication of the character of the Pleasant Hills community. Pharmacy, wine and spirits, eyeglasses, and banking.
There is a memorial garden adjacent to the parking area, which is thriving, though I wish more planning had gone into the seating area and provision for shade. The street lighting at night between the bank and the coffee shop could be improved, as it is quite dark and a pedestrian can easily trip on uneven sidewalk. The sidewalk is handicap accessible, with adequate parking lot signage as well.
The trash cans were recently removed and I am not sure whether this was due to extremely hot summer weather.
